yes, i imagine portal updates will occur during the week of march 24!
Anyone knows anything about University of Utah Musical Theater program in terms of its quality and alumni success?
My daughter heard back from Indiana today - our 3rd WAIT LIST so far (including FSU and Oklahoma). Just FYI ![]()
I was waitlisted as well!
My son was also waitlisted! That makes 5 for him! Lol. But heās so happy itās not a no ![]()
Western Connecticut came in today! Snail Mail acceptance ![]()
Now waiting to hear back from Emerson and Oklahoma, but mainly- NYU. The light is at the end of the tunnel⦠sort of.
Whoās traveling coming up? Itās hard investing more money into this decision, but I know how important this choice is. Iām just not sure if we should visit the waitlist school or just go for the top 3? And then, IF NYU is a yes, I just donāt even know. It would be great news, but also throws a wrench in it. Lol. Howās everyone else with travel plans?
Did you ever hear anything from DePaul? We havenāt heard anything yet.
We are doing one school on Monday next week. Itās our spring break and I know we should do a visit, but planning last minute makes it so expensive! So still debating if and where we might go
Wife and daughter are off to Elon next week to possibly seal the dealā¦day before they leave weāll find out about NYU and USC ![]()
My childās former talent agent in NYC just this week recommended Western Conn. to us. Said itās an excellent program. I had never heard of it (but turns out there are many MT programs we were not aware of!)
My daughter was rejected from PACE, waitlisted with Marymount and accepted at Roosevelt (Chicago) for MT.
Anyone know when MMC will make movement on the waitlist?
We really liked Elon. Itās beautiful, safe, and feels like a quintessential small college town. Iām in Georgia so if my son wouldāve gotten in, that would be a top choice. The MT program has a group of NY agents that are really getting work for the grads. I know nothing is guaranteed, but it seems like an awesome choice!
The more we look at it, the better it sounds. I love that itās close enough to the city too. Thanks for letting me know the school is showing up on the radar for talent. ![]()

Keep us posted on your plans. Iād love to learn what you find out from your visits. Are they accepted schools or waitlist schools?
I agree! I think my daughter is ready to get out of Los Angeles, so even if she gets into USC, I doubt sheāll want to stay home. At least it will save us a boat load of cash! LOL
We are visiting one accepted school (Lyric Theatre at University of Illinois) and possibly one waitlisted school (Western Michigan). He would really like to visit LIU or even AMDA in LA, but the timing and cost isnāt in our favor. We tried to do a visit to IU but with it being spring break, they are all full for the week as of right now. Itās all just a hurry up and wait at this point!
I am debating about visiting a waitlist school as well. It is my top choice so as I send in further letters of interest I want to be positive in inquiring further but also donāt want to waste the money on the trip. I have other schools I am for sure planning on visiting nonetheless.
I know they sent most offers on the 14th it was a no for me. I would email if I were you cause they were pretty adamant about sending everyoneās out on the same day.
I read today that MMC (Marymount) wait-list is moving.
If anyone hears about Oberlin notifications today/tomorrow, pls let me know. ![]()
