<p>Gardenweb kitchens is my second morning stop after CC. But it’s a once daily addiction. CC is the "this meeting is boring " surf.</p>

<p>The forums I poke my head into are too narrowly specialized to be of interest to CCers. And frankly, between work and CC, I hardly have any time left for anything else! </p>
<p>Onward - home disasters, huh? Sounds awesome! Off to check it out. Kitchen remodel does not sound too interesting, but disasters - oooohhhh. ;)</p>
<p>Seriously busdriver , I LIVED there before I came here, and after my first few “private vs public” threads, I was like “Wow! These folk take this as seriously as heirloom vs hybrids”!</p>
<p>Busdriver, there are some pretty resourceful cats. Mine never made it into the washer, because I kept the door closed, but she puked all over D’s homework once! Imagine turning THAT in. Lol!</p>
<p>I think I would turn that homework in as evidence! Otherwise, how do they buy the excuse? But with cat puke all over it, yeah, can’t argue with that.</p>
<p>Heirloom vs hybrids, wow. Who would have thought? Though I can see it. My mom completely goes ballistic when she sees someone planting non native plants. We sometimes tease her about all the non native plants we’re thinking about planting, it is so irresistible. People can get crazy about their passions.</p>

<p>So I was reading a similar story from a guy in my occupation (not company). There is quite a bit of sick leave harassment in my industry, intimidation for people not to call in sick. Anyways, this guy said he was so sick that he made a mess in his pants…and kept the pants in the trunk of his car for three months, just in case he had to produce them as evidence. Seriously. Maybe a little paranoia there.</p>
<p>The cat thread has been going on since 2002 and has 124 entries about different ways and places that cats puke. There also is a funny thread about husbands and house repair disasters; which could certainly apply to their wives.

<p>I used to like the forum at fivethirtyeight, before it became part of the New York Times. I don’t know how it is at its new home; I’ll have to check it out.</p>
<p>I am pretty much addicted to on-line quizzes … sporacle.com … and hugequiz.com … although not being able to spell is a pretty severe limitation on those sites.</p>
<p>I like fivethirtyeight a lot … but have only just started reading it so I can not comment any recent changes. (One of my retirement bucket list items is to volunteer to perform background grunt stats work for some of their sports articles)</p>
