Is there any chance that I go to a top twenty school? I have a 35 ACT, 1550 SAT, 5 5s on AP tests, a 790 and an 800 on subject tests, 1440 PSAT score (good enough for letter of commendation), and good extracurriculars: debate, officer of the STEM club, Vice-President of the Math and Computer Engineering Club, tutoring at a local charity, three sports, and the founder of a small company. Where I really lack is in my GPA which is only about 3.4 because of lackluster freshman and sophomore years.
Well there is SOME chance… especially if you don’t need financial aid. But top 20 schools are a reach for everyone, and for international students they’re even more competitive. Think of admissions to those schools as a form of playing the lottery
I don’t need aid and I’m not international. Would donations to schools have any impact? If so, how much of a donation is necessary to make an impact? Thanks so much.
