We’re not very pro-war here lol
TG, I hope you dont think we’re all like that ;)

Main Line is left wing, Mr. TourGuide446. I personally am a moderate. I’m not pro-war or anything. Just overall centrist.

I understand how you have come to your conclusions, and I do not hold that against you. Many times, we make assumptions (for example, that the Main Line is conservative). As stated before, I have jumped to conclusions myself, so, understandably, others will do so as well.

Oh…missed the part about the “her” thing…yeah…I’m a guy…not a gay guy either, lol…relatively masculine, typical straight guy…

(Don’t mean to double-post, but, seeing as my manhood was questioned, I had to respond :))

Gotta practice more.

Practice what? Please don’t try and provoke me. I don’t appreciate it.

Interesting.

Oh. I’m sorry. I thought you were making a sarcastic remark to me.

(example of jumping to conclusions)

Again, my apologies.

Heaven, I was just using the box quote…that jPod explained. :)

It is interesting, but I’d peg Old Main line as as a leftist place too. Being middle of the road is sometimes frowned upon.

Heh, don’t I know it. However, it’s a lot more fun than being left or right. I don’t like the idea of being confined to one side or the other. I mean, as a “centrist,” I can be pro tort reform, but pro gay marriage (one of many examples).

How do people from the PNW know about the Main Line? :P

We’re just that famous!

Heh…in my AP History textbook last year, they listed the Main Line as something like (I’m paraphrasing here) “a prime example of the elite suburban movement”…and specifically mentioned Haverford, Bryn Mawr, and Wynnewood…

Elites are typically liberal. Remember Richard Nixon’s reference to his wife’s “respectable Republican cloth coat”?

We’re so elite here in Wynnewood, arent we Batoff? ![]()
You sure they didnt mention Ardmore? XD

Well, mentioning Bryn Mawr. Kind of ironic nowadays, (most of Lower Merion’s Bryn Mawr isn’t what you would call elite) but, yes…back then, Bryn Mawr was the toast of the town.

Well look where RH lives. Isn’t she in BM?

Rosemont, actually. It’s misleading. They share the same zip code.

Weird. Rosemont? Psh.

You forgot to put your dads stats like SAT , gpa…Wait a minute…Ohh you are the one going to college right…

The triple-amputee reference had nothing to do with politics or being for or against the war; it had everything to do with the standards by which you measure a tragedy. The OP is sweating the concept of being forced to go to…PENN, while others (like the soldier) absorb things a million times more traumatic without a wimper.

TG, he didnt get in yet. He’s being forced to apply ED there. He wants to go to URoch, not UPenn.
