<p>I just re-read this thread and found that in an earlier post, Sunrise has made her real life self known to at least 5 posters here on CC. The fact that we have had no news about her presumably means that she herself does not want anything more known. Obviously we must respect this and accept the fact that we may not hear more.</p>
<p>I completely agree with what justforthis has written and have been reluctant until now to say the same thing. I think that we may be inadvertently putting “pressure” on sunriseeast to send one of her lengthy, incredibly well-written posts, something she may be unable to do, or no longer wish to do. I am certain that she knows the turn this thread has taken.</p>
<p>A reminder prayer for sunrise posted early on by boomer, I believe:</p>

<p>I am SunriseEast’s oldest son. I have sad news to share with you. Since her last post in December, my mom’s condition worsened, and treatments weren’t working. About two weeks ago she decided to stop chemotherapy. Her health has rapidly declined since, and now she is awake for only a few minutes a day. </p>
<p>My dad sent this email out to family friends:

I only know your Mom from her wonderful posts. Your update has brought a huge lump to my throat, tears to my eyes…but gratefulness that she is at peace. So happy that she was able to see you and your brother–she was so proud of you! I hope you keep a copy of her wonderful writing…it was so generous of her, so meaningful to many.</p>

<p>Thank you so much for letting us know. I (and I am sure everyone here) feel like I knew your mom because of her postings. </p>
<p>I lost my mom a few years ago and I know the hole it leaves in your heart. A mom loves you like no one else can. The love your mom had for you, your brother and your dad is evident in her words.</p>
<p>I will keep you all in my prayers.</p>
