My Favorite Business Week Quote about UVA

As many of y’all know, Business Week recently released its 2nd Annual Undergraduate Business School rankings. While UVA again nabbed the #2 spot, (which I’m very proud of) I’m not a big rankings fan. Instead, I’d like to share my favorite quote about McIntire that shows why it’s a great school no matter what its ranking is.

Thanks. The school’s description is a lot more helpful than it’s numerical ranking.

I love that. I’ve been reading about McIntire a lot and it’s a really good school. It deserves that spot. Maybe soon it’ll be #1? Haha.

I applied to Penn so I’m still torn between McIntire and Wharton…but reading that makes me really want to go to UVA. I don’t know yet. I guess I’ll have to wait till April to decide. I got a likely letter from UVA so I’m really psyched to go there now.

Same - except UVA is in state for me and wharton… well… I better get really good job coming out of there if I get in and go.

Then it’d be better for you financially at UVA…unless if you get scholarships and stuff while at Wharton. With mine both are pretty much the same since I’m out-of-state. Penn’s more expensive, of course. If I go to UVA I’d be spending around $37000 for everything compared to around $46000 at Penn.

So I guess the financial aid awards they give me (if any) will be a major factor in my decision.

penn will be number 1 for at least 15 more years.

when mcintire starts to produce people like Trump, we’ll have a chance.

I don’t know that Trump the type of alumnus we’d need to have for McIntire to overtake Wharton. I think we’d simply have to out-do them in recruiting, and that likely won’t happen in the near future. Wharton has such a strong presence among elite firms and its graduates do so, so well that it’s tough for a school like UVA to compete.
