From LA Business Watch: “News of Spitzer’s reported involvement comes after the first-term Democrat had pledged to bring in ethics reform to New York’s capital of Albany.”

Hey, does his resignation mean that Hillary loses a superdelegate?

How utterly stupid and pathetic. Spitzer had been a major disappointment even before this cropped up. NYS politicians never fail to prove themselves even worse than humanly thought possible.

1sokkermom, I don’t believe he has resigned.

I’ve never been a Spitzer fan, even back when he was zealously pursuing a political agenda as an attorney. I do think, however, that this abominable behavior is his personal business (as it has been with other badly behaved politicians) and his family will have to make the decision as to how they deal with it. I feel for his wife and family and it matters little to me in terms of his being governor.

"Sources are telling Fox News now that the governor will resign. The announcement will be sometime later today the source told the news channel. The 48-year-old Spitzer is married with three children and the news is a shocker.

He earlier had told some of his officials that he is linked to the ring where a federal prosecutor arrested four people in connection with a high-priced prostitution ring. NBC is reporting that he is linked to the “Emperors Club”. The first-term Democrat who pledged to bring ethics reform when he was elected to office in 2006.

The governor has been indicted by the southern district of New York sources tell Fox News and that would surely lead to the resignation."
