My Governor the sleaze bag

Read the wikipedia description of her. Quite entertaining. Curmudgeon, with your skills at research, wanna see if you can dig up the nude photos of her, taken back when she had an affair with a co-host many yrs ago, to share with us? [Laura Schlessinger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“Laura Schlessinger - Wikipedia”>Laura Schlessinger - Wikipedia)

Dr. Laura’s brilliant advice to military wives :

Curm. If you find those nude photos, send them to Spitzer.

Dr Laura has spent the last several years cozying up to the right. Years ago she never talked abt politics on her show–now she seems to be lobbying for to be the next Fox News Contributer. Look for her, Rush, laura Ingram, and the rest of right wing talk radio to get really loud, the closer they get to the election—the future of the Republican party’s control by the Neo-Cons is at stake and John McCain is a wild card for them.

Can you get me his e-mail?
Check your p.m., jym. Just had to reset my “filter” on Google . ;)

Nice try. It just aint true. Most (if not all) of the Republicans I know think she is an idiot.

It simply amazes me that any one would listen to her. She often interrupts her callers without reason and her advise is often wrong by any objective standard.

Oh boy, here goes…

I’m no big fan of Dr. Laura, but I think she has a point. While the man is TOTALLY to blame for choosing to cheat - I’m certainly not advocating that (as my earlier post confirms), there is some validity to her assertions about the male ego. It DOES need attention, validation & support from women.

Again, there is no excuse for cheating.

But I do think that some women don’t realize what an effect their attitudes have on the men in their lives. We tend to think that men will love & respect us more if we’re '“strong” and “independent”, but that isn’t true. Men need to feel needed - perhaps even more than women.

There has been a big trend in the media, I’ve noticed, where the man is routinely portrayed as inept & unneccessary. Just watch the commercials where the man is made to look like a fool - just can’t do anything (like arrange the seats in the new van, for ex.) w/out the woman. There’s one commercial where the guy is in the bathtub acting silly & the wife just scoffs and walks away - they should’ve shown her having a laugh & JOINING him!

I feel sorry for the men in the media these days (again, NOT talking about Spitzer or any other cheating b*****ds). Between all the “I am woman, hear me roar!” & “Who needs you?” attitudes, there has been a general immasculating of men in our culture. And men have been encouraged to “get in touch with their feminine side” for so long, that pretty soon we won’t even have any “real men” any more! (Just look at the current crop of male contestants on American Idol if you don’t believe me!).

The “real man”, in its truest form, is a spectacular thing - but those egos need to be fed & watered. No one wants to admit it, but men probably ARE more needy emotionally than women (that’s why they try to cover it up so much!). If women would recognize this, and act on it (give the guy some undivided attention & tell him how great he is once in awhile), the world would be a happier place all around.

Disclaimer - of course this works both ways. The men need to be conscious of the women’s needs also. And again, no excuse for cheating!

Just my opinion & observation. I’m sure I’ll get flamed - go ahead.

Curm-
You have a true gift!! You can find anything on the web!! And for those of you who are wondering what Curm pm’d me, see post #301 ^^^ !! “Lovely” photos. Blech.

As for “dr” Laura-- she fancies herself a “conservative” talkshow host. If conservative = right, then I get what shogun is saying. I am glad to hear, though, that regardless of political affiliation most people realize and agree that she is a total waste of airspace. That woman is downright dangerous, because some people believe she has legit training and that there is some credibility to the lunacy that she spews. Unbelievable and downright dangerous, IMO.

Curm, I am sure you can track down Spitzer’s email address faster than I can!!

Better track down Spitzer’s private e-mail address. Word is he will be announcing his resignation momentarily.

bzz: “Men need to feel needed - perhaps even more than women.”

Not flaming, but I think a wife and 3 teenaged daughters constitutes “needed”.

“Better track down Spitzer’s private e-mail address. Word is he will be announcing his resignation momentarily.”

He’d better be. I am really getting angry about our state being in “limbo.” If this weren’t a family site, I’d post a REALLY BAD WORD.

For those angry about the state of NY being in limbo, have you been following the story of the equally sleazebag Mayor of the City of Detroit? Can someone get him to resign too?

Aw, geez, Lt Gov Patterson wants us to wait until MONDAY for the resignation to be effective so he can get his transition team together…More limbo–

What about the budget???

“What about the budget???”

It’s usually done in April, so are we looking at July this year?

The resignation is coming at 11:30 this morning.

Here is part of the promotional material (thanks to curm):

Since we are on College Confidential, isn’t this how rabidly pro-HYP posters describe the HYP experience and benefits and justify seeking that experience at any cost? This PR must have sucked Spitzer in since it worked for his college choice.

I guess going the Wilbur Mills route is like going to a state school.

He resigned a few minutes ago, with wife at his side.

Anyone wonder who Clients# 1-8 are, and what they are thinking right now?

1-8 are probably wishing they had a high profile job to resign from in order to avoid further prosecution, too.

(Note: US Attorney says there is no deal with Spitzer, but I doubt that will be true for long.)

BTW, Spitzer sounded like a contrite child in his speech. More sorry that he’d gotten caught and “disappointed” the family and public.

1-8 are probably safe (although I hope they’re sweating). The johns are usually not prosecuted or named. I suspect that someone had it in for Spitzer; he certainly has no shortage of enemies. And he stupidly handed them a club.

Is anyone else reminded of Gary Hart (who would have been a great president, in my opinion) challenging the press to catch him with his girlfriend?

This has hit me hard. I was hoping to volunteer on his presidential campaign someday.

Gee, he coulds just paid for one of those callgirls to spend 2 yrs at a fine, private LAC/university. I am sure they are fine, qualified candidates :)

As for the wife not meeting Spitzers needs… I am sorry-- I just can’t get with that one. What kind of a wonderful, nurturing , supportive spouse do you think he was??? Megalomaniacs are hard to live with.
