My lesson from Exeter

Exeter’s profile is strikingly similar to the profiles of the admitted Harvard Class of 2015: [Harvard College Admissions § Applying: Statistics](http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/statistics.html). It also resembles the Yale College admitted Class of 2015: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:mykMBbtquQIJ:admissions.yale.edu/node/2040/attachment+yale+college+student+profile&hl=en&gl=us&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESgzZ9T4TVsz1vKzq4UtWY9dp9mtQtroalue3nUdKvLR3USKjEIWkBpFBfpq6zHYvffRW97y-dpeKoWbGfnTKAxMVcuREyOGLk60fDrxRzlyWZ7zAcLlvIhJQNYdVJaP4bNr4GoL&sig=AHIEtbSB9KIS7vxePdqOGIiGBB4L6DzKkA</a>. Oh, and let’s not forget Stanford: [The Undergraduate Program: Stanford University Facts](http://facts.stanford.edu/undergraduate.html).

I suspect these student body profiles reflect a process which is need-blind (or nearly need-blind), is open to all, and places enormous weight upon proven academic ability and “youth from every quarter.”
