- Aice General Paper
- Algebra 2 Honors
- Spanish 4 Honors
- AP Biology
- AP Psychology
- AP World History
- ???? Need advice deciding. My art teacher wants me to take AP Art History but I don't think I'd be up for it while taking world. AICE Marine science is regarded as an "easier" class at my school. I plan on taking AP Chemistry my junior year so I'm not sure if it'd be crucial for me to take honors chemistry this year as prep. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Basically my question is how the overall schedule looks and if I should prioritize to add Honors Chemistry. AICE Marine is an easy class at my school and I plan on taking AP Chemistry Junior year so advice could be helpful.
You need Honors Chemistry as a pre-req for the second level (AP Chem).
Since you’re a sophomore, I’d suggest
- Aice General Paper
- Algebra 2 Honors
- Spanish 4 Honors
- Honors Chemistry
- AP Psychology
- AP World History
- (if you really want a hard schedule: AP Physics1 or Honors Physics) (if you want an easier schedule, an art/music class or Marine Biology)
With Junior year
- AP English Lang or AICE English
- Precalculus Honors
- AP Spanish
- (If not taken sophomore year: AP Physics 1 or Honors Physics) (if Physics taken sophomore year, AP Chem - AP Bio senior year if you wish)
- AP CS Principles
- APUSH
- “fun” AICE class
Thanks. One thing though is I have to take Biology next year since it is a grad requirment. I take AP Environment right now and would have to take some level of Biology next year. Our school offers it (Ap bio) beginning the sophmore year anyways.
I would definitely recommend taking Honors Chem if you are deadset on taking AP Chem.
If you absolutely need bio, push back AP Chem and take bio as a junior.
Have you taken biology? Tanking AP Bio without and into bio and chem class is likely a bad idea.
I have not taken bio.
Take honors bio and honors chem first, THEN AP Bio or AP chemistry.
