I got an 1880 (1250 two-score) on the SAT and a 30 on the ACT the first time I took them. My grades and academic excellence are great, I have straight A’s and have had them since I was a freshman, I’m ranked number 3 in a class of ~600, and I’m in a lot of clubs and have about 250 hours of community service. And yet I can’t get high test scores. Anyone else have that problem?

This is in comparison to scores by students who get into top 20 schools btw

Put more time and effort into studying for the SAT and less time into your numerous clubs.
Your average scores will hold you back no matter how strong your ECs look on your transcript.

why are you upset if those were your test scores for the 1st time? study harder and try again. those are good for 1st time scores.

What grade are you in? Try and use some prep books for the SAT/ACT…look at what you’re really strong in…math portion, critical reading, etc…:)
