Name A Product You Don’t Get The Hype About

I never liked how Ugg looked.
I don’t get sweat pants outside of home or gym.
I don’t have Apple Watch, my kids and their spouses also do not have it.

We took the kids to Disney once. They liked it, but enjoyed other vacations/experiences more. As an adult, I am happy that my GD’s other grandparents not only like it but live in Florida. We’re off the hook!

My kids love Birkies. I think that they are hideous.

There was a thread with over 1,000 posts on the subject: Is wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts appropriate and suitable on campus?

My go to in college was oversized tshirts and men’s boxer shorts (80’s). And very big hair.

As we don’t have a Home Goods, I’ve never shopped in one and don’t know its allure. Maybe if we had one I’d understand.

I love wandering around Home Goods, even though I often buy nothing. I go in with maybe a specific purpose, like a kitchen gadget or such, then have fun enjoying the displays. It’s a form of window shopping for me.

They have an interesting specialty food section so good place to pick up fancy chocolates, teas, jams, cookies, etc. I was there a couple of weeks ago looking for a particular kind of cheese slicer (which they didn’t have) and found a Chanukah menorah drip tray at 75% off. I also finally - FINALLY - found a couple of great wooden salad bowls. And picked up some washcloths.

I felt the same way going to Tuesday Morning - loved wandering for the thrill of the chase. We have several kitchen gadgets/serving pieces I didn’t know I needed until I got them.

Interestingly, I also went to the nearby TJ Maxx when I was at Home Goods, and it seemed like less and less of the store was devoted to clothes. They expanded their home decor offerings, which seemed strange because the two stores were steps apart.

Same here. The two are located next to each other. TJMaxx has fewer and fewer clothes and shoes and more and more houseware type merchandise.

I think it was mentioned upthread, but TJ MaXX/Marshall’s/HomeGoods = same company. I’ve seen combos of these three connected under one roof as they share merchandise/buyers.

I know they’re the same parent, but wouldn’t you think they could distinguish their offerings? There was a joint store back in Chicagoland, which was so huge I seldom shopped there.

In the past, they usually carried different types of stuff, with TJMaxx focusing on clothes and accessories. Not the case any longer apparently. The clothes selection went downhill, and same sheets and dishes etc. are on the shelves at both at least in the location I used to frequent.

That’s our favorite too. Hubby is from MA. Thin crust pizza. The best. And surprisingly, not mozzarella all the time.

Oops. Wrong thread! Sorry.

I love Home Goods but the parking lot is a nightmare so I don’t go often.

Once was enough. My kids can say they went.

I miss Tuesday Morning so much. I loved wandering through there to see what I could find. Of course, their demise did dovetail nicely with my need to stop accumulating “stuff”, LOL.
I especially liked them for gift bags, bows, wrapping paper, etc. I sensed something was “off” because they got very neat and organized and sort of “contrived” like Home Goods. No more finding one unique item. Now it was multiples of everything.

Something that is not for me are the area rugs that look old, faded and worn out. I don’t get that. I want a beautiful-to-look-at area rug.
