I’ve not seen reusable straws at restaurants. I’ve heard of people carrying their own in purse. That would be too much trouble for me.
Now I do sometimes bring takeout containers to a restaurant when I know I’ll be likely taking home leftovers. But that involves a lot more plastic/whatever resources than a straw. Still I get it that most people don’t care to do that.
I find crocs comfortable and wear them around the house, they were great spectating on a wet soccer field, and coaching swimming. I might wear them grocery shopping.
But for Europe or walking 5-10+ miles in a day, I opt for running shoes too. But I hate(!!!) the way running shoes feel. But they do better for days like that.
I don’t get the hype over specific supposedly lower calorie brands of popcorn like skinny pop. It’s often almost 4 dollars for a teeny tiny bag. The store brand which, when you look at the calorie count is almost the same, is usually half the price.
I live and die by Skinny Pop. It tastes different than the other brands to me. It’s just the perfect texture. My co-workers questioned me, but now they agree.
I carried the metal straw with silicone tip for a few years. I kept a few in a ziplock bag. Now that the biodegradable ones have improved I’m back to using disposable.
Love passion fruit but they need to be ripe.
Skinny pop butter flavored popcorn is pretty good but the rest to me is not a big difference from other brands. Skinny pop is owned/made by Hershey’s! I’d rather have the peanut butter cups or the chocolate almond
I hadn’t looked at this thread for about the last 200 posts until just now, when I skimmed everything. It was so much fun bouncing around among topics! It felt like I was at a party and there were different conversations surrounding me.
My husband is an avid snowmobiler. The suits are expensive but not nearly as much as the Canada Goose (although I suppose you could probably find one that is). The heated helmets, visors and masks are expensive and can be a matter of of life and death when riding in below zero conditions.
My husband recently sold some of his equipment, and I think he said that a brand new, high quality heated helmet would run $600+ A heated visor $250+
