We didn’t have a humongous SUV, but it was a time in life where we needed more seating than we do now, for sure. Lots of carpooling, etc., which made 6-7 seats pretty convenient.
And I inherited a 1996 Dodge Caravan that I drove at least 75,000 miles in five years until the transmission died. I only had one row behind the front bench but never needed another row.
My son swears by his!
The OSU.
Stanley cups. So big, bulky, unwieldy, excessive.
Reposting. The Stanley Cup is awarded each year to the winning team in the NHL playoffs
My brother (right) with the Stanley Cup back in the day. Several of the Red Wings lived in his neighborhood, a couple of whom were good friends. (No idea who the guy on the left is.)
ETA: Lest you laugh at my brother’s “look,” he was working undercover narcotics in Detroit at the time and needed to look the part. At least, in this photo, he’s not wearing a tank top and gold chains.
Haha, I wondered if your brother ran the gym the Wings trained at!
Hey, I totally would’ve dated your brother in the '80s.
Came here to say that!
I’m sorry Minivans became unfashionable, because they used a lot less gas, and were a lot safer for the other guy in accidents, than humongous SUVs.
Fancy/dress watches. I love my apple watch. Does a ton more than any non-sport watch.
I love my Bombas socks. They fit. My favorite running socks were always Balega, but I stopped buying them when I stopped running. Years later, they’re still going strong.
I have a sock problem.
In Seattle, there’s a small chain called Dick’s Hamburgers. Everyone thinks it’s soooo good. Seattle classic! The fries are fine if you eat them right away. The shakes are okay. The burgers are gross. Overhyped blech.
Alexa and any similar products. I don’t want something in my home that feels like it’s listening to me.
Instapot - what even is this? It’s so big and bulky. I don’t like any oversized countertop appliances. I agree with what was said upthread - no multi-use appliances.
Hoka’s - they look absolutely comical on my feet - like those sneakers from the Seinfeld episode, “Jimmy can jump high!”
The Beis Weekender bag - it was hyped a few years ago. I got one for Christmas one year. Horrible, almost impossible to carry comfortably.
My kids love Bombas but they are too thick for me. I prefer Ondo’s.
Same with Sketchers.
Mid-century modern chairs.
TikTok. You’re being surveilled, and not just by companies.
I couldn’t agree more!
