yay! now questbridge isn’t even working for me anymore!

I’ve been trying to submit, and the site has just been “resetting” or not loading at all. I’m so frustrated. Now, it’s not even working properly. What is this crap?!

the submit feature has to have worked, i just resubmitted my essay like 15 minutes ago and it linked me back to my locker.
then i realized i forgot to copy and paste my optional essay. :

^I was directed back to the locker page too, but the status of my application says “in progress”.

I’m on the east coast and it’s already 4:26 AM here.

I have school in 3 hours, and I can’t be doing this during the school day

yeah, for serious…I just don’t want to sleep and miss the extension because I can’t do this at school…

Omg, FINALLY! I submitted my application. The stupid thing kept telling me I didn’t complete my school information when I filled EVERYTHING in. Good luck to you guys trying to submit your apps! I am so dead right now, I’m just gonna crash and not even worry about homework.

go get some sleep, you guys are going to pass out.
they’re not going to be like “yeah well extension until 12 pm lolololololol”
they’re going to make it reasonable and not due during school hours.
you WILL be able to submit it after school.
don’t worry.

actually, it works!
my server had the “loading” thing going on, but i just pressed stop, and then i refreshed the page and did everything and everything loaded and submitted superfast.
try it!
good night!

Yay! She finally got to submit it! We’re done. Now we wait until when? October 15? something like that? I have no idea.

do i have to submit a non-custodial waiver request if my dad died before i was born?

TrinSF - our daughters have a lot in common - including the non-academic powerhouse part. One of her essays is about how she turned to photo-manipulation and photography in order to focus on something other than the pain caused by a genetic illness (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) during a time the pain was so disabling she couldn’t get out of bed and was so ravaged by sprains she was unable to walk. The biomedical part came from all of her exposure to the medical world. It took over 15 years for us to finally obtain a diagnosis and get her the proper treatment.

She also has ADD to boot that wasnt diagnosed till the beginning of junior year (I had suspected it for awhile but it was just so back-burner to her other issues). Treatment made her confident enough to over-ride teacher recommendations and enroll in honors classes, and gave her the ability to focus on academics.

And yes, the challenge for her here will be to get to the Finalist level. With 96% of finalists having UW GPAs of 3.5 and above, that puts her in a very small minority that get to that level. Her grades do improve dramatically in junior year, and now in her senior year she’s finally starting to perform at her brother’s level, which is doing terrific things for her ego if nothing else. We shall see.

And, we find out 10/23. Congrats on getting it submitted!

flying llama - no

Do you guys know how long the extension lasts?

You are here!
I often thought about that trin and you should be talking.
How’s everything else going?
Where would she be ranking?
Good luck, I want to believe that art kids have edge here, really, though my kid isn’t doing 'till next year.
If anyone else repeating Junior year,
QB send me email saying you can do it next year when you are ready to apply to colleges,

Hey bearsanddogs! I guess I took a longer break from this forum than I thought. It feels like forever since we’ve spoken. Definitely QB would be right up your alley. It’s like an application boot camp, really. That may be the best thing about it. These kids are away ahead of everyone else in the whole application process.

D is ranking scripps, parsons, pomona, wellesley, vassar, rice, emory & bowdoin. An acceptance to any one of those for her would be just extraordinary. Without QB, she’s applying to Florida state schools, RIT, SVA, Hampshire, Bard & Marlboro.

I only ranked Stanford and Yale, but I ranked them a few weeks ago. The binding contracts make me nervous, since none of the schools on my list are my top choices (Washington University in St. Louis is my number one, and everything else is tied for second…). I knew that if I waited to rank my colleges I’d do something like rank Rice or Chicago, which are on my list - but then I’d be bound to them if I made it! So I decided to circumvent any last minute stupid decisions.

I dont know why but neither of my kids had/has an issue with the binding aspect. Both applied/applying to 8 lacs, and it really didnt/doesnt matter which one should it be a match. Plus they rank them. My son did get lucky becoz he had Williams #1 and Pomona #2, and he then had second thoughts and had decided if he didnt match he would apply to Pomona ED2. When Williams passed him over and Pomona accepted him, it felt very much like destiny. Still does really. With D, her chance of matching would be equivalent to winning the lottery - her gpa is just not high enough, so it doesnt concern her at all really. Remember only 260 kids were matched out of 2500 or so finalists.
