National College Match - 2009-2010

Tell me about it! I’ve been calling the entire day T_T And yes, i’ve called like 20 times in a row.

YES I GOT TO TALK WITH A REP.! KEEP DIALING. I literally dialed about 30 times in a row.

Gahh powerbomb do you just dial and press 0?

yes. I redial press 0. voicemail. hang up. redial press zero even before the thing finishes the options. voicemail. hangup. redial. zero. hangup. redial. zero. hangup. redial. zero. “QUESTBRIDGE, MY NAME IS ______”

anyone else having issues faxing the secondary school report?
i faxed it last wednesday and today, and it’s the only thing not showing up!

I don’t think you’re supposed to be able to see your school profile and srs. My counselor has faxed everything required in already, and QB has verified that. The only thing that’s available to me is the transcript and the test scores.

@driscol- it still says “not started,” though, and they emailed me saying that it hasn’t been processed :frowning:
how long did it take for them to verify it?

If your counselor has already faxed the stuff in, then you should be fine. You’ve given them 48+ hours to work with. If the QB staff does not process it within that time, then it is their fault and they probably will not do anything to hurt your chances of becoming a finalist. My stuff were faxed last tuesday in the morning and when I checked after football practice, they had received everything. Though they probably will take longer seeing how more people are faxing them in now right before the deadline.

The server seems to be slowing down, a LOT, but if you are gently reminding your recommenders about their deadline, you should be fine. What’s in your control is to get your part of the application done well and on time, and to politely remind everyone else involved to do their part. Don’t freak out if your file doesn’t look complete immediately after midnight on Wednesday; presumably the staff at QuestBridge apply some kind of rule of reason about logging things in that may have been delayed by technical (or bureaucratic) issues in transmission, especially if the student’s essays are already submitted.

Good luck to all of you. Won’t it feel great to be done?

shoot im totally screwed. i’ll be sending my stuff with only 36 hours left until the deadline. does anyone think it will make it?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!? also do i fax my act scores sheet i received in the mail a long time ago?

Can I fax the recent september ACT score from my house? I submitted my old April ACT score through my counselor’s office but won’t be able to schedule a appointment until after the deadline.

Yes! I’m actually kinda pleased with my first two essays after several revisions. Now time to tackle the last essay! And finish those annoying short answer questions =[
I’m planning to submit tomorrow night/Wednesday morning. Do you guys think the site will work?? I mean, I was gonna try to submit like…Wednesday 4am or something. I doubt that many people would be on at that time…right? If not, I have all day to try to click submit. Hopefully I get it in on time. Good luck in the next 50 hours or so guys…

hey guys this is a very serious matter ive been working my butt off for 3 weeks on this and if it doesnt work because my scores/transcript doesnt send in time im screwed. is 36 hours enough time?
and how do i know if letters of rec are finished? will questbridge say anything?

Yes, you can fax student score reports sent to the student into QuestBridge with one of the fax cover sheets. You can download the cover sheet precisely because not all schools have access to all student scores.

is 36 hours enough time?
and how do i know if letters of rec are finished? will questbridge say anything?

What I mean is, can I fax it, not my counselor.

You’ll know your recs are finished because next to your teachers’ names on the drop down menu entitled TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS, the panel will say COMPLETED.

dangit that means no one has completed them yet i guess. my counselor sucks…

Yes, students can fax in their own score reports. Some high schools never gather student test scores in the first place.

tokenadult: are you sure about this? did you do it yourself? if so, what did you place in the name, phone, and e-mail fields reserved for counselor info?
