That puts CA cutoff at 221. Come on TX so I can move on and stop refreshing like a maniac! lol
@ShrimpBurrito exactly. @srk2017 yes, I did–students who do better on reading have a higher index score. But keep in mind, this is for CA! The cut-offs this year for CA were ridiculously high! only 40 pts off were allowed!
oh, well with 220 in CA, DS is going to miss. As I said earlier, looks like no kids @ his school cares about it. None of schools in his list are big on NMSF. It was fun following the thread and congratulations to all who got in and for those who missed, there are lot of other opportunities to get merit aid. Good luck All.
Lowest 1480 would be a 220, is that correct @itsgettingreal17 ? So the one that got sf must have been a 221 (like a 730 EBRW and 750 Math).
Yes, that’s a 221 for CA most likely. Not confirmed, however.
Does that mean TX is likely to be a 220?
I agree, schools are not all the same. But if NMS wanted to reflect that fairly, they should perhaps use poverty quartiles for cuts instead of states. Not sure how that might look for home schoolers though. Take PA for example. My son was NMS in a school that had 2 SF in the past 14 years. A school in our county averages 40+ per year. It’s just not the same.
@stresstasticlife - That’s what I suspected. My son has 1480 with 220 SI. I was expecting that cutoff will be either 219 or 221 and turns out it’s 221. Good luck to you. Are you targeting any NMF schools?
Congrats @arkiemom !! I’ve been waiting for confirmation in AR with a 218… I was pretty confident, but I there is a student at my school with a 212 or 213, so he’s still on the bubble.
Have there been any even numbered cutoffs yet?
@srk2017 thank you! I’m targeting the McDermott Scholars Program in UT Dallas, not sure about other NMF schools!
@itsgettingreal17 - LA is 214, reportedly.
Now, MD needs to report in so we can relax…
The only “=” on the board are a 214 for LA and a 219 for IL. All the remaining scores are <= or >=

I was going to grumble about KS HS students needing to put their cows away and report their scores already, but it looks like there’s not any reporting going on around here in general (KS/MO/NE). Perhaps our letters are going pony express.
New England and the MidAtlantic states are very quiet. Annoying quiet
Western states except for CA are MIA or I-)
Not sure what’s going on with MN. Several districts are already in session, including at least one heavy-hitter suburban high school and several schools in Minneapolis. Not to mention that the top private school in the state started last week.
Shake it loose, people - there’s info to be had!
Texas people please post! Hoping for a 219.
@itsgettingreal17 . What part of Texas are you in? We are in DFW and didn’t see anything today in the mail that came.
Dfw also.
DFW. @Frankmeister Are you a homeschooler?
Schools in some parts have received letters.
