Anyone else from California hear anything? It seems that the minimum score is 221?
@PicoLA , it looks like your daughter is in the clear! On the following thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/national-merit-scholarships/1914817-class-of-2017-nmsf-nmf-qualifying-scores.html#latest) , one parentās child received a 221 (post #48)

Gosh this is fun!
Maybe tomorrow ā more from TX & NY and some from states not yet reported etc! Hope so.
Please anyone with MD?
@VANURSEPRAC itās fun for us because we donāt have a dog in this hunt this year;-)
I did ask DS if he heard any kids at his school (Austin area) talking about NM today and he said no. His school usually has 15-20 NMSF but he said heāll ask the smartest senior he knows if heās heard anything yet when he sees him in the morning.
Just caught this: MN > 216. Arts blog.
was on fb and a school had already announced their national merit semifinalist. wow.

Doesnāt give the SI though:
West High School News: Cade Fleaher Named National Merit Semifinalist
Today, Tuesday, August 30, officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) notified West ISD that one of our West High School seniors, Cade Fleaher, is one of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists from across the U.S. in the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Cade now has the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth around $33 million.
By being named a Semifinalist, Cade represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors who achieved a qualifying score on the initial screener, the PSAT.
Congratulations to Cade! We are super proud of you.
So much for the media embargo until September 14 . . .
popping up all over Twitter too.
I know. I am just here with a school that wonāt even āhintā that my child is on a list or not. And here it is on FB celebrating. Just a little frustrating. We (yep, we) are so on the bubble. These scores do not look promising. I really thought they were a little high from Art. Oh well. Glad the man-child is not even giving it a thought. Ate 3 sugar cookies while looking through here.
@PicoLA love that you put āembargoāā¦is that the term all of them use? I kept
hearing that today. Thought it was an odd but fitting word for it!
