<p>My son was notified this week that he advanced to finalist, and I thought it would be interesting to see how many of USC’s many NMFs are on CC. Please add your name to the list by copying the list and adding your name at the bottom. Feel free to note whether you’re being considered for a Trustee or Presidential scholarship, and what major you applied to/were accepted to. I’ll start with a few members I’ve seen post their NMF status on the accepted students thread.</p>

<p>Rainmama: I have been following your posts; didn’t realize that your son was applying to Cinematic Arts…Do you have any idea if the application process for the other schools (annenberg, Cinema, Marshall) are markedly different and that is the reason for the delay in status updates? I know that Cinema requires more analysis ( last year many applicants didn’t even hear until March), but I wasn’t sure about the others…</p>

<p>I haven’t been accepted (yet, hopefully :)), not being considered for Presidential or Trustee. I applied for Chemistry. (LAS)</p>

<p>Rodney - Cinematic Arts applicants have to do the regular USC application, plus an extensive second appliation aimed at the chosen major(s) within the CSA. This requires an entirely separate review process that I was told can take much longer. I’ve heard of a few kids admitted in to Production, Screen-Writing, and Interactive Media, but none to my son’s major. I’m sorry, but I’m not familiar with the Marshall and Annenberg application process, but it could be a similar issue.</p>

<p>crazydad - I think a lot of kids heard from their schools, but NMSF is supposed to have mailed letters yesterday. When I started the list, I just pulled from the stats pages for admitted students who listed NMF - I don’t know if they had actually been notified, or were predicting their status.</p>

<p>My school told me I was NMF but I still haven’t gotten anything in the mail.</p>
