@collegewon. Everyone that applies has a chance. Your SAT is within range but your gpa if it is weighted appears a bit low. However NCSU does holistic review so they will consider letter of rec and essays along with other factors like county and class rank. Some majors are more difficult than others. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
@sunnyschool Actually it’s by Jan 30th. Last year they came out on Friday, Jan 25th. If they follow a similar pattern results will be released on Friday, Jan 24th.
Has anyone noticed that their checklist dates changed?
Some of our now say received in Dec, info posted above it says " While some of these dates appear to be after our deadlines, your application was not negatively affected. We will communicate directly with you if we need more information to process your application."
Maybe this means they are looking at info? Thoughts?
I called them about this and the person I talked to said it just takes them a while to get all of the info onto the portal. They had the info in their system from when it was originally sent in by the student-the dates we are seeing are just when they finally transferred the data from whatever system they use to each individual portal. It doesn’t mean anything in terms of admission.
I applied for Statistics with a 33 ACT 3.78 unweighted GPA and 4.15 GPA at an OOS Illinois catholic school where regular religion courses are required lowering GPA. NCSU is my top school for the price and opportunity and I hope I get in!
@avahelen , The past two years, the decisions came out the third Friday in January. There will be five Fridays this year, though- not sure if that changes anything.
