@pastelblue I guess we’ll find out when we get there!
@SuperSomeone I’m not sure, I got mine in an email that then gave me a new NCSSM email along with the Focus account- I’m assuming the parents got it the same way! Check your email–I’ll ask my parents how they did it if that doesn’t work!

Does anyone know when we get the security deposit back?

Security deposit?

Yeah. It’s 285 we have to turn in on Welcome Day.

You mean the form they said they would give us? It said on my email to have an appeal acceptance form to bring with me to the Welcome Day, but they haven’t sent it yet…

@songbird13 Yeah Hopefully it’s not too crazy.
@trajenous At least you have more days to prepare or know what happens during welcome day. I don’t know what to expect…
@galaxyunicorn On the sheet it says we get it at the end of senior year.

@SuperSomeone my mom got an email they same way I did.

@trajenous and other waitlisted students, did you receive your NCSSM credentials yet (with email?)

@Galaxyunicorn Not yet in my case. I have to email them over the weekend about that…

I just called them and they said that you get the form on Welcome Day. Also, they congratulated all of us for making the wait list. Out of the 500 people who appealed, only 35 males and 35 females made it! Congrats to everyone, Again, I’m still surprised!

for everyone that was at welcome day:
that chem test tho…

Welcome Day was pure amazing. I just hope that Amazing can last two years. I was blessed to make it through the waitlist and I wish the best of luck to anyone waiting. If anyone who got accepted wants to skype sometime, add me on NintendoFan2298

@supremenoodle that Chemistry test was the bane of my existence. I pray for those yet to take it.

Just got the focus accounts today. Honestly, I’m a little stressed out for welcome day, even though I don’t have the hard placement tests…

All those on the wait list take heart. Kids were starting up until Labor Day last year at NCSSM. Some kids will not like where the testing places them at NCSSM based on the Discovery Day results mid-May (causing them to repeat prior material), some kids will start but then realize they are more comfortable at their home school, some kids just don’t realize that the rules are strictly enforced by the administration, some kids get their first “C” or even “D” ever and chicken out). For those who love an academically challenging, diverse environment with the maturity to handle the independence given to kids by the school, it’s the best experience ever.

Guys I was blessed to be a finalist through the waitlist on the first day that it was available to be accepted. Have hope. There’s a girl whos a friend of mine who is on the waitlist and I really hope she makes it. She means a lot to me. Everyone have hope.

Wait, so some people on the waitlist were called and said they were accepted to the school???

Yes. I was one of them. they don’t call now adays. I got a email

@NintendoFan2298 Same here. I got the earliest upgrade from waitlist to finalist. Trajenous, have hope but it might take awhile!

Yep, me too
