So I just took Barron’s practice exam and got 56/80, which I thought was pretty good. I’m preparing for the exam in a couple of weeks. I just searched online and found a practice exam that’s kind of freaking me out. I probably could answer 10-20 of these questions accurately, if that. And supposedly this was the actual exam from a few years ago, although I can’t confirm this.

I was the opposite actually. I did horribly on the Barron’s but found the actual MC to be alright. I’d focus on the FRQs if I were you.
I took the AP European History test last year with a mere glance at the book and I completely regretted that decision. There is a lot of material to cover, so I would suggest taking practice tests and reviewing important events that could appear on the MC and/or FRQ such as the Renaissance, French Revolution, Reformation, etc. One of the mistakes that I made was that all I studied was the French Revolution, believing that that would be the bulk of the test but ended up with questions about William of Orange and Cold War events.
Since any material is free game in this test, my advice to you is to review what you are a bit unfamiliar with, since there is a chance that there could be one or two questions on there that could pop up involving that topic. However, like said above, I would study more for the FRQs, since that is the part of the test where it is your knowledge that is really being tested rather than your guessing skills if you end up getting stuck on the MC.
