@ashraffateh

When you apply to a school in the US, you have applied for a chance to be admitted. Just because you have applied, does not mean that you will be accepted. Nor should you expect to be accepted. You may be rejected.
As an international candidate, your school record is crucial for admittance. The university has to review your educational record and see if your course load, for your undergraduate degree, matches and is equivalent to what the Cal State undergraduate business/economic degree requires in coursework and experience.
So you have to have had a very “similar” experience to someone who was at Cal State for four years, taking similar undergraduate coursework. The university has to meet educational guidelines required for a diploma in the area of business economics as a masters degree candidate. It has to be equivalent to the other CSU’s in the State.
Since this is graduate school we’re talking about, the professors in the department also have to review your previous education. (Right now they’re busy finishing up teaching for the semester and supervising graduate students.).
The school of business will contact you if you have been accepted.

As you review the information below, please take note of the following:
-
Applicants must apply via the online Cal State Apply application. For some tips on how to complete the application, visit our Application Tips webpage.
- Unofficial academic transcripts must be uploaded as part of the Cal State Apply application. Please plan to have them readily available at time of university admission application submission.
-
Admission to graduate/post-baccalaureate programs is a two-step process. Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Office and the Academic Program department. Applicants must meet both university and program admission criteria, which may include program-specific admission/entrance exams (e.g., GRE, GMAT, etc.).
-
In addition to the Cal State Apply admission application, some Academic Programs also require a separate supplemental program application. Please plan ahead. Supplemental application materials are due by the same deadline as the Cal State Apply application. To view which programs require a separate supplemental application, visit the Admissions Deadlines webpage, and select the desired graduate admission term.
-
Cal State LA requires a foreign credential evaluation report for advisory purposes. To satisfy this requirement, international graduate applicants must submit their non-US academic records/transcripts to the International Education Research Foundation (IERF) or World Education Services (WES) for international credential evaluation. (Be aware, beginning with the Fall 2024 admission term, we will also accept reports from NACES member agencies when accompanied by official transcripts.)
According to Cal State website for Graduate students:
Graduate applicants for California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) can expect to receive their admissions decision within 8 to 12 weeks after applying. The application process begins the review process as soon as completed applications are received, so it’s recommended to submit your application as early as possible.
So if you submitted October 15, then 12 weeks will put you at around January 14. Since you are an International applicant, it can take longer to review your International transcript.
