The first season of a new series developed by Netflix, “House of Cards” starring Kevin Spacey is being released all at once instead of one episode a week.

I think that people that are obsessive compulsive will appreciate this. I like to watch a whole season one episode after another rather than one episode a week. I watched the first three seasons of Lost one after the other over I think a 5 day period.

Ok. I don’t have netflix. But if I did…I would be happy about the release of a season all at once. :)

We raced through the first two seasons of Downton Abbey in a weekend so we would be ready for season 3. DH was actually upset that we would have to wait a WHOLE WEEK between episodes now!

We’ve also speed watched In Plain Sight. DD and I enjoyed Drop Dead Diva.

Watched the first two episodes last night. It’s a bit melodramatic and a bit of overacting by Spacey, but I am a Kevin Spacey fan and I enjoyed the show. No intention of watching all at once, LOL.

I like this concept…an original series on the web. If a Hollywood heavyweight like Spacey can get this done, hopefully we’ll see more such projects. Let that be a shot across the bow to the cable TV companies.

I plan to, but much as I love Kevin Spacey I’ll bet the series is not nearly as good as the British House of Cards with Ian Richardson, which was brilliant. I hope I’m wrong.

Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are stunning in this series. The plot moves very fast. I think it will be very popular, and I love binge watching.
Booklady, will look for the British version.

The original British House of Cards is terrific. Kevin Spacey is such a genius that it will be interesting to see what he does with the US version.

I don’t understand what the problem is, since this is how netflix always loads its tv series and is no different from buying a DVD with an entire season. Viewers can watch however many episodes they want when they want, it’s not necessarily an all or nothing thing or a speed marathon. The only difference is that this is new and not a past series. But then when I watch a tv series on Netflix it is a series I hadn’t seen before.
