Have we had a thread like this before? Sharing something you are doing now, decades into life, for the first time???
I thought of this last night - for a corny reason. I was texting with my daughters and DIL - all who have enjoyed various reality tv shows in their lifetimes (and being a reality show liker myself).
So this is my “never have I ever…until now!” - I’m watching a season of The Real Housewife’s - something I have never in my reality watching time done! (Rhode Island if you care)
What is your “Never Have I Ever…Until Now”???
(Tried a new food, a mode of transportation, a kind of exercise, a type of class, etc.)
I started sound bathing last week. Not at all what I expected but I really loved it and I’m going to make it a regular practice. I’m going to go once/month in person and I have free recordings from our facilitator/musician to do at home.
Enjoyed ”fancy” coffee. I’ve always done a simple brew with a splash of cream. I’m now hooked on DH’s (formerly eschewed) Nespresso machine. Every day for the past six months or so, I’ve had a Golden Caramel cappuccino. There are clouds in my coffee…
Yet another post by @ChoatieMom that completely speaks to me. I recently purchased a De’Longhi Dedica (after getting hooked on the Portuguese “Bica” on our trip last month), retired the Mr. Coffee drip machine + Costco-brand coffee and have not looked back. The amount of $$ I’ve suddenly had no problem spending on custom-ground bags from local roasteries would shock my former self. My morning cup is now one of the highlights of my day.
i, too, have started buying more expensive coffee for my coffer maker. Sometimes the local place but also better brands at the supermarket. Still using my Mr. Coffee drip but coffer tastes much better than the less expensive brands I always bought on sale.
Finally told my husband about a purse I wanted for Mother’s Day. He’s spent 40 years trying to buy me expensive designer bags but I honestly don’t like anything with a label and I’m kind of cheap when it comes to clothing and accessories. He almost fell over when I told him I needed a new spring/summer purse and he could buy me the one I picked.
I was always cheap on purses until I was 60. Usually bought from Kohl’s, JCP, he k even goodwill. We started traveling more and I decided I wanted a designer crossbody for when we went out at night. I’ve now crossed over to the dark side and have several. I really do love carrying them.
I’ve become extremely interested in my city’s crime and politics. Certain decisions have caused my once relatively safe city to become disturbingly crime-ridden and to be frequented on National news. I have a daughter who lives in an area where a high-profile murder happened to a girl her age, so I have a vested interest.
