Never Would I Ever..... (my version of the game)

Never Would I Ever… tell my mom that I got my first passport at 18, because a friend was going to take me to Europe for a week. The trip was only cancelled at the last minute because his parents found the tickets and froze his bank accounts. It may have been 30 years ago, but my mom would still not be happy. (my dad might laugh. Maybe… I don’t want to take the chance.) Thank goodness “Find my Phone” did not exist back then!

Never would I ever…go skydiving. It took years for my family to finally get me into a plane. I’ll not be voluntarily jumping out.

Never would I ever…harm an animal.

I do, however, have a different viewpoint with respect to mosquitos.

Nobody has ever done anything juicy, they would never confess IRL?
As an example, scrubbing the toilet with a roommate’s toothbrush?

Quite honestly, not here.

I guess I ingrained the Golden Rule early on? I’ve stuck up for the Underdog since at least 3rd grade when I remember befriending the one gal no kid liked - and found out why they didn’t care to be around her when she passed gas! Nonetheless, I refused to exclude her.

The “worst” we did came in AF camp when a fellow cadet fell asleep on a bus trip and we may or may not have sewed his sleeve of his sweatshirt to the torso - while he was wearing it. Fun (to him too), but hardly the stuff you’re looking for.

Never would I ever eat liver. NEVER.

When our first was an infant we were living in a one bathroom apartment with little storage. The toothbrushes were in a cup on a shelf over the toilet…so yes, Dragondads toothbrush was the one that fell in one day. I decided that if I boiled it for a long time it would be fine (he had our only car at work and I couldn’t get to the store). Turns out that if you boil a toothbrush the plastic expands on the side where the bristles are and turns it into a spiral of loose bristles. So not only would I never do that to my worst enemy, it turns out you can’t even fix it if was an accident.

I’m with @jym626 about liver. Ok, maybe if the killers had my children and would release them if I ate liver. Maybe.

Would never run for public office.

Admit to anyone in real life that I had a gastric sleeve operation.

Eat mushrooms, beets, avocado or peanut butter.

Ski (once was enough for a life time)

Have a tenant ever again.

Listen to a song by James Taylor.

We had the pop tart discussion recently in our family. Frosted brown sugar and frosted strawberry were the top choices. I bought the brown sugar for an upcoming road trip we are all taking and the crew is oh so happy.

Never would I ever…

Sky dive (afraid of heights)

Hike in a cave (claustrophobic)

Admit to my parents the drinking escapades in college

Never would I ever…
Swim with sharks.

I’m terrified. Jaws scared me for life!

Never Would I Ever

Confess to DH that for years I kept many of the brand name food (containers) he insisted were better than store brand, and filled them with store brand ie Rao pasta sauce - use it, wash the container and fill it, and refill it, with TJ brand! HaHa!

Eat a pop tart (Eww - can’t even be near the smell!)

Tell my kids about the time a friend and I hitchhiked from NJ to New Orleans for Mardi Gras (and what we did once we arrived ;))

Never would I ever . . . pick up a snake.

Do you realize how many lawyers you just insulted ?

(No need to write the obvious response as one joke is enough. )

P.S. Earlier in my life I proclaimed that never would I ever shop at a Wal-Mart & never would I ever buy a Chevrolet. The world changed and so did I. (Chevrolet Tahoe & Sam’s Club frozen fish–Mahi Mahi–with Robert Rothschild pineapple coconut mango tequila finishing sauce.)

@jym626 : How about chopped liver??

Yuk, no! Can’t even stand the smell of liver! Turns my stomach.

Never would I ever, and this is one of my biggest regrets

Scuba dive. Sigh! How I wish I wasn’t afraid

Kellogg’s should be thankful for this thread. I had an unfrosted blueberry poptart for breakfast this morning. That hasn’t happened since Feb when we were camping. It’s amazing how something can get into one’s brain and remain there nagging.

My eating one prompted H to eat a poptart too, though he chose something chocolate and frosted - not sure which one exactly.

I’m torn with being glad to use something old that needed to be eaten or being concerned that it’s that old and doesn’t taste any different than back in Feb.

I sense a garden/deer soup for dinner later to actually give my body nutrition. We have a lot of veggies to toss in before they go bad too. Doubt they will last 6 months (unless frozen)!

I’m about to go pick up my grocery order with frosted pop tarts that I will eat untoasted for a quick breakfast. Funny that I couldn’t stand them until the pandemic!

Never Would I Ever

Smoke a cigarette!

Eat a fish with it’s head and tail still attached or a lobster with it’s head on it.

Own a fish tank (terrified of them - but like to scuba dive with fish)
