<p>Within 15 minutes of the end of tonight’s episode, there was already a Facebook fan page dedicated to Pants on the Ground with over 3,000 members or so at the time. As of this moment it has just shy of 50,000 fans. Simon called it.</p>
<p>There are actually three Facebook pages for fans of the song “Pants On The Ground.” The last of the three pages is to become a fan of the General who sang the song on AI. The other two are for fans of the song, not the singer.</p>
<p>Raising my hand. Had a busy day yesterday and I turned on the Tv with the hope to watch a comedy or something to laugh. There it was American Idol. It had me “Laughing all the way” (?) “Pants on the Ground” will be a classic comedy for AI.</p>

<p>The country girl (aka “bridge jumper”) who auditioned from TN made me sad though because she had so little. I was so glad she made it through just for her to have the experience of flying on an airplane and going to Hollywood. What an experience for her.</p>

<p>I little off topic, but Idol related. I am watching Katherine McPhee on Jimmy Kimmel, and she is completely unrecognizable to me. She is blond and much more hip looking - a definite image change.</p>

<p>For the first time I am SO excited about AI because I actually know someone who is competing this year. On Orlando audition night, look for (and join me in rooting for) the school bus driver. He is from our town and was my D’s counselor in summer rec - what a talented young man (as they all are - I wouldn’t be able to be a judge!!). He did a great job (as he is contracted to do) keeping it a secret, but since we haven’t seen him in town for quite a while we are hoping for good things…</p>
