Luckily, our power was out for only about 20 minutes. I’m pretty sure that was the utility company flipping the switch as part of a repair.
Today looks to be sunny and a lot colder…but at least I can go out and run errands.

Beautiful sunny, but cold December day today. Yesterday was another story. Howling winds, pouring rain. Lost power early morning - a big problem since I had a major meeting/demo at work yesterday afternoon. H dropped me off at work - driving was quite the challenge as well. The pouring rain made it hard to see past your windshield and several local roads were flooded.
Luckily, things improved by around 6pm last night. Power came back on, rain stopped. We have several small branches on the ground, xmas ornaments/decorations scattered all over the yard. Thankfully, nothing that can’t be fixed easily.
Our generator powered our lights and fridges but the water and heat weren’t working this morning! I was worried about our birds. It got down to 60 inside. We texted three electricians and one of them drove an hour from his job site to help us out. He fixed the generator and asked for $100. I gave him $125. Probably should have been more! We’re at “Napoleon” now and a neighbor just said the power is back on. Yay! A lost day at work, though.
