GREAT view you have!
My phone tells me that it’s supposed to stop raining in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn by 2:00 EST.
Rain here in coastal Massachusetts is supposed to stop around 5:30pm, but the high wind warning won’t expire until 7pm.
Wind warning here is until 1 am.
Power was out for about 20 minutes. Likely line work. I was going to go out and run some errands, but it’s now raining with wind gusts…again.
I’ll just stay here!
The sun is out in Brooklyn.
Oh good…maybe it’s heading this way!
Power has been out for awhile now. We’re running the small generator in our office. We’ll fire up the big one at the end of the work day if the power is still out.
Have a 6:30pm flight out of LGA. Delta claims that we will be on time. We shall see.

Storm has gone by but our power is still out. Thankful for the generator! Internet is out, though, which means no business phone. Our cell signal is very weak so we’re kind of out of touch with the world. We’re at a restaurant right now.
Sounds like it may be awhile until power is restored.
We’ve got no lasting issues (at either house) but my mom, who’s 2 miles from us here, has an Internet/TV outage that won’t be resolved till tomorrow (hopefully).
I could have posted this in the parents caring for parents thread because…omg… It’s the end of the world as far as she’s concerned…
Come on, Frontier!
no power…no fun!
We had lots of rain overnight in MD, but the winds were really howling this am. Have been sitting at Dulles since 3:30 pm. Flight to SEA is now 4.5 hours late. Flight was originally supposed to come from Tampa, but that was appropriated for another flight. The replacement flight is coming from Boston. Arrival time keeps getting pushed back.
Coming from Boston? I know someone trying to fly out of Boston and their flight was cancelled.
On time departure and arrived 30 minutes early!
Wow!!
@HazeGrey terrific!
Haha probably those tailwinds ![]()
South of us there are a lot of people without power.
