New Jeopardy host preference? / Jeopardy updates

The difference in pacing is noticeable because I think Ken knows the answers (questions) without having to look at a card or screen the majority of the time whereas Mayim obviously does not. This inherently creates a pause or delay as she has to check prior to responding to the contestant.
The rhythm of the game is noticeably different between the two hosts. Also her reaction to when someone opts to go all in for a Daily Double is annoyingly over the top…

I guess Ken deserves some vacation time after all. Eh. We’ll survive.

Ugh!

"Ken Jennings will be back on March 10th, and then he’s going to continue the rest of his syndicated run, which will take us through April 28th,” Foss said. “And then Mayim will take over on May 1st, and she will take us all the way through to the summer.”

Actually, that’s good news in my view. I was not expecting to see Ken until September.

They will never please everyone but I am in Camp Ken!

Same. I liked mayim in the tryouts, but Ken has really grown into an excellent host

I’d be happy if mayim just did the specials.

Good, close game tonight that came down to Final Jeopardy. Only one of them got it, as did my husband! I had no clue! Finals of the tournament start tomorrow. I think Mayim has done fine but I still prefer Ken for regular hosting.

Tonight’s FJ was misleading. It said the name of Britain’s busiest port is one of the 13 original colonies. It didn’t mention a capital city.

The clue;

The busiest passenger port in the U.K., it shares its name with a capital of one of the original 13 states

Good game today. Happy to see my choice win.

Also in the good news department, Ken returns tomorrow

This was filmed weeks earlier. Hard to believe that they let it air with such a glaring error.

Maybe they should forget about the “additional episodes” e.g. Celebrity Jeopardy, and stick to the basics.

Sad to see a strong player give the game away tonight.

Bet too much unnecessarily on the DD. There aren’t that many artists named Hans. I’d credit my AP Art History teacher, but I knew that answer back when I was skitoddler. And then blowing FJ?!?

She got too cocky with that wager.

Absolutely. She just needed to bet conservatively to keep it out of reach. A boneheaded move. And I wanted her to win!

These days, every contestant studies wagering strategy and has it down cold- before the show. Weird things happen on the stage though, to even the best of contestants. I feel for her.

That’s what was sad. I feel for her too. She had it made and just didn’t think through the wagering.

This popped up in my Facebook feed. A Cliff Clavin moment.
