My FJ guess tonight: Grandpa Scar Santos.

They’re really getting cheeky with these contestant introductions. And I’m loving it.

I’m happy with the results from today’s game. I’m even happier that we’re finally done with tournament play.

Have to say that for this year, with tournament after tournament, I’m watching when I’m home but if I have something else to do or something better is on TV, I don’t care if I miss the show. Jeopardy! is on our local Fox station that often preempts it for sports and occasionally for a weather event. I don’t care.

I’ve enjoyed the high quality of the competition in the tournaments, although so many of the answers were things I’ve never heard of…

That Victoria was incredible. She knows EVERYTHING!

I think she took Amy by surprise. Amy seemed very flustered.

Looking up Victoria’s experience, I guess Amy knew she’d be a formidable opponent.

“Groce has been a regular in the international quizzing community since the mid-2010s, competing in various events around the world. She is one of three Americans to make the podium at the World Quizzing Championship, finishing third in 2020. And she’s one of the two people to have finished in the Top 10 of the LearnedLeague Championship in recent years.

In addition, she was part of the winning American team for the 2021–2022 Quizzing World Cup and won the trophy for World Quizzer at the World Quiz Awards in 2021.”

I’m sad she lost, but she had a good run! Glad she’ll be in the ToC.

Agree. She seems lovely.
I was surprised they all missed the final jeopardy question last night.

I also was surprised. I am so not a history person, but knew the answer! :joy:

I knew because I can sing the states in alphabetical order, and just went until I found one that was a state before Alabama.

Since Alabama was state #22, that’s fairly early in our march to 50 states. Didn’t think Arkansas would have become a state that early, couldn’t think of any “B” states, and got to C, and knew Connecticut was one of the original 13. Wife and I worked all that out in the 30 seconds allotted.

I can see not knowing tonight’s FJ (although I did), but I can’t connect that wrong response to the clue.

Too bad Amy lost, but at least she’ll be in the T of C.

I thought tonight’s FJ question was ridiculously easy, but none of the contestants got it right. I find it fascinating how contestants know things I’ve never even heard of, but then they miss easy clues.
