SPOILER ALERT

And safe is… Lee!

And going home is… Casey!

and turning off AI is…me! :(

“Simon Cowell doesn’t have anything to do with marketing American Idol wannabees after the show.”

I don’t think that’s true. Simon Cowell is associated with Sony Music…and just about all of the American Idol winners and near winners are with Sony Music

Cowell’s record label Syco is owned by Sony Music UK. This record labels signs most of the Britain Has Talent folk, such as Susan Boyle. It has nothing to do with American Idol. American Idol’s who have their contracts picked up are managed by 19 Entertainment and sign recording contracts with 19 Recordings. 19 Recordings then does a joint venture deal with one of the Sony labels in the US – RCA or Jive or Sony Nashville. 19 Entertainment is the producer of American Idol. The CEO of 19 Entertainment is Simon Fuller.

Simon Cowell is just hired on-air talent for American Idol. He has nothing to do with the recording contracts, artist management, etc. Zero.

Casey just had that ‘look’. It was really weird, like he knew he was going. He didn’t do bad, but they were gunning for Lee & Bowersox had been an early front runner. I loved Casey, but I think it played out as it should have.

So, both will have careers, but who do you think will win the popularity contest next week?

If young teens vote…Lee.
If hometowns vote…Lee.
If people vote on looks…Lee.
If people vote on talent…Crystal.

Okay folks, this is the night… who’s it going to be?

Hoping it’s Crystal. I like Lee just fine, but really like Crystal’s vibe. Plus, the past two winners were men. Time for a woman to win again!!!

It’s gonna be David Cook 2.0 (Lee) who will exclipse the record for worst album sales from an Idol winner currently held by that kid, what’shisname, who won Adam Lambert’s season of American Idol.

Da girl has no chance against the combined votes from all the strummy-boys voted off over the last few weeks.

Unfortunately Lee. Looks too much like a young Billy Joel, -but without the charisma-. Granmas will like this underdog. Crystal will do just fine.

Oh, PLEASE let this new release song be better than the one last year!

I am not loving the new release song “Over the mountain”. I am not very into Crystal this week, despite the judges fauning over her. If her voice came on the radio I would hit the scan button. Lee however, I love the tone of his voice. I would listen to him on the radio.

Review of the show: YAWN!

BORRRRRRRRRRRRing.

Boring? Serious?

Crystal came into that studio confident and ready to put out. And she did. I feel she put everything she had into those 3 songs - the last song, I didn’t know, but I could feel and see the emotion in her as she sang.

I did read that they both picked their single songs. So they picked them , someone didn’t pick them for them. Both songs are covers.

I love Lee and love his voice (and looks!) but Crystal IMO totally outdid him tonight vocally and in performance.

I still think anything could happen tomorrow night, but based on tonight alone, Crystal to me, was the winner.

Yeah, DD and I noticed right away that instead of the treacly song written for the winner they were doing covers. I guess Kara was fired from the song writing. Crystal chose better IMHO.

I don’t care for either of them. Crystal is an opening act. Lee has a chance if he gets to front a band. Otherwise, this is the last we’ll see of them both.

19E will schlepp Crystal off to Sony Nashville and do a country album. It’s by far her best shot.

Lee needs to get a wallet chain, his name tattooed across his back, and shave his head.

DialIdol, which is by no means always correct, is showing Lee absolutely slaughtering Crystal. :(
