How is this geographical snobbery? The OP said she wanted a name that conjures up The South.

I live in Vermont. So, OK, here are some suggestions for a name if I wanted it to conjure up images of Vermont…

Green Mountain OB/GYN
Maple Health Care
Covered Bridge Women’s Health
Village OB/GYN
Beaver Pond Health
Red Clover Women’s Health
Holstein Health
Utter Care
Honeybee OB/GYN
Granite OB/GYN
Moose Health Care
Country Women’s Health
Moo Health

I did ask for names that say the south, but maybe we need more modern names, something that says the new south! The flowers/plants would work nicely as you have a ready made logo. Magnolia, Azalea or Wisteria would be nice. I think she just wants to find a new and innovative name; something that a patient will remember and will stand out.

Someone ask about using a location name; that doesn’t work as there are many practices in the area with names of the city/county/suburb/hospital, etc… as part of their name.

So I guess Kudzu Care is out?

I’m sorry I can’t come up with anything serious and appropriate. My mind is still halfway in the gutter:

Honeypot Health Care
Jelly Roll Women’s Services
(I listened to too much Blues music at a formative age)

Ahem.
So if you want a flower, but magnolia is taken, that leaves you with other flowers: wisteria (is the Desperate Housewife association too strong?) or Bougainvillea and Rhododendron (which are awkward and hard to spell) or dogwood (pretty flower for a logo) or azalea. What else?

I like Kudzu, but it is a weed! Friend doesn’t love Dogwood, but Wisteria would be nice, and the purple color would be pretty.

You could go basic with:
Southern Women’s Health

How about a biblical shrub name?

“Burning Bush OB/GYN”

Maybe you could borrow Dixie Chicks for the women’s clinic

oh, audiophile! That was a good laugh.

If you are into the flowers, trees, etc. of the south…

Hickory Health Care
Palmetto OB/GYN
Goldenrod Gynecologists
Honeysuckle Health
Oleandar OB/GYN
Cottonwood Women’s Health

Something simple: Blossom. It has implications beyond the botanical.

Or Spring Blossom.

Dixie Chix & Bayou Babies

for GYN and OB components

(spelling changed for copyright infringement)

mominva…that’s cute!

mafool…I suggested Blossom back in post 20 and agree with you that it has implications which make it a cool choice.

Milkweed mamas
Or
What a Bradford Pair
(The tree here is a Bradford Pear tree)

hat is off to you soozie. My mind was busy with the silly and the double entendres back then and I didn’t notice.

Or “above the bees knees”
Or Dreamcatcher

No, that might be takrn wrong

Did someone already say “milk and honey”?

these are great!!!

Scout, what are the local plants, animals?

Around my house, I have 5 pineapple plants growing.

If you are in Virginia, how about

VA jay jay (with acknowledgement to Gray’s Anatomy)

Veranda Woman’s Healthcare
Savannah Woman’s Physicians

I was going to suggest WomansWay but then realized that Way might suggest Weigh :(
