Thinking of Coldad and sending him healing thought’s, hope the warmth of Sunrise’s love carries him thru his recovery.

I bookmarked the link for sunrise’s memorial contributions before it was pulled from CC.

Am keeping coldad and sons in my thoughts.

Thanks for posting secgmodude - I learned so much from Sunriseeast’s posts - you are fortunate to have known her.

Wishing Coldad a smooth recovery…

Thinking of Sunriseeast’s family and hoping Coldad has had his surgery.

Thinking of you, Coldad, and continuing to pray for you and your dear sons.

Thank you, secgmodude, for sharing your thoughts. I also learned so much from sunriseeast.

Bumping this thread in hopes that someone has an update on coldad’s progress as we continue to wish him a speedy recovery to full health and keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Do we know that Coldad actually had his lung transplant??

I wasn’t sure from reading all of the posts if Coldad received a transplant. I believe he received a call saying that there was a potential match.

I think of Sunrise and her family so often. I miss her posts, and I hope that the men in her life are doing okay during this most difficult time.

just thinking of Sunrise today, and her sweet family. I hope all of them are doing well.

Also in my thoughts today and hoping all went well for Coldad

Sending good wishes for physical and emotional healing.

Seven days after losing Sunriseeast we held a small memorial service at home. I said the Kadish with my two boys standing by my side. It was a first, fragile step to the acceptance of our loss.

The next morning the call came in that they have a potential donor and by Friday morning I had two new lungs in my chest. All indications are that Im on my way to full recovery.

I truly appreciate the support from this forum, especially since for me it is yet another unexpected gift from my wife.

Throughout the last couple of years I came to realize how fortunate I am to have the family and friends that I do. My experience the fear of losing my wife, of leaving my boys without a parent, the sorrow of my loss was strong. But much stronger was the experience of love that comes from sharing the path with wonderful people. I will forever be grateful for that.

Coldad, thank you for sharing. I am very happy to hear that you are getting good reports from your medical team. Based on the timing of Sunrises passing and you receiving the transplant phone call, I have to believe that Sunrise somehow played a role. She is watching over you and the boys!

Godspeed

Coldad, good to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts. I agree with Kajon that how everything worked out, Sunrise must have somehow played a role. Hope your son are doing well. It’ll be a great comfort to Sunrise to have you be there for your sons’ major events in life. Take care of yourself. Speedy recovery.

Coldad- You have completely made my day today!!! I am so thrilled to learn of your new lungs and your progress!!! Thank you so very much for taking the time to post. Good luck in the coming weeks as you continue to heal and breathe with ease. You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Wonderful news; I feel sure Sunriseeast is smiling.

Such a blessing and hope reading your post today Coldad. Keep healing in all aspects of your life.

Thank you for letting us know about your road to recovery! You and your family have many friends on CC and you all are in our thoughts and prayers!

YES!
Thank you for this post. It made my day as well. Sunrise made a difference in many lives she didn’t see. I am glad we unseen can give back with waves of support that help you while we are still unseen.

Thank you for posting coldad, I am so happy for you. Somehow this seems like a gift from sunrise; a gift to you, and a gift to us as well, to have some joy come out of the pain of losing her.
