Coldad, I was so happy to see your post. I have thought of Sunrise, and then of you, whenever reciting Mi Shebairach at shul, and especially of you since the post about your possibility of receiving the transplant.

I am so glad you are on your way to a strong recovery.

Coldad- I am wishing you continued smooth healing! We are fortunate for the gifts you and Sunrise have added to our lives as well. What a message of love and spirit you have shared with us.

Coldad -
Thank you for posting an update. Many of us have been worried about you. So thankful that you are well and wishing you a speedy complete recovery.

Coldad - Thank you for the update. I am happy to hear you are healing well from your lung transplant. You and your sons remain in my thoughts. I wish you all continued strength and healing.

Coldad- Thanks for sharing your update and best wishes for a smooth recovery. Your family has been on my mind and I am glad to hear you are making such good progress.

We all know this is how Sunrise wanted it for you. I realized I held my breath every time I came in here waiting for news. Be good to yourself and take the time to recover. I wish you many blessings from here forward.

Dear Coldad: you selected such a magnificent woman as a life partner, and no doubt you have been through quite a difficult 2 years, dear man! We embrace you as someone special and marvelous, too, and now I have the happiness of knowing you have had the opportunity for new lungs.
You may never wish to post lengthy essays here as your wife did now and then, but do not underestimate our ability to be interested! We have a friend who had an early (20 plus years ago) heart transplant done by Bill Frist at Vanderbilt…who ran marathons and did so well, but I don’t have any friends yet with new lungs.
So happy your quality of life will keep improving now, happy for you and for your two hard-working sons.

best wishes and fondly, from the Shenandoah Valley

for those who have been hunting for Sunriseeast’s designated charity for her many CC friends, PM me, many of you have!

Coldad, it is so wonderful to hear from you! I have thought of you often and you have been in my prayers. I am very glad to hear of your new lungs. The boys will have a revitalized father.

As you write, I can hear the same generosity of spirit that we heard so fully in sunrise. It is no surprise to me that you found each other. I suspect you two have shaped each other over the years. In this way, she lives on in you as well as in your two precious sons.

You have many friends on this thread. We are always glad to hear from you.

Calla1 just put into words what I was feeling when I read your post coldad. Thank you for returning to CC to update us and our best wishes to you and your boys.

Coldad, I am so happy to hear the wonderful news about your transplant. Wishing you continued healing. Thank you for the update. I still have Sunrise, you and your family in my thoughts.

Colddad, thank you for updating us; what wonderful news! I wish you a speedy recovery and like others believe Sunrise played a hand in your gift of life.

I hope you find comfort here with us like Sunrise did, and will come visit with us again. I think she would be happy that you found some nice cyber friends :)

Coldad what wonderful news to hear! I’m so happy for your new lease on life, Sunrise is surely smiling down on you and your sons. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery.
