New to BS application/admission process

My daughter has applied to three schools and has been accepted to all three. In the process, a few people (other BS employees that we know) have “made calls” to each of these schools on her behalf. This may be a really silly question, but its bugging me: Once she has chosen a school, have we inevitably offended those who made calls to the schools she did not choose? And how do we gracefully acknowledge our thanks for their help, yet chose a different school? Or am I making too much of this, i.e. its just another day in the life of someone asked to help a BS applicant.

Your daughter should send a thank you note to each of the people who helped her. In the note, she can say that, after much thought, she has decided to accept her offer from school “x”. Nobody will be insulted. Each if the schools has its strengths - but, in the end, what matters is which school feels like the right fit for your daughter. No one will begrudge her having made that decision. Congratulations, by the way!!!

Thanks very much! I planned on having her write a thank-you note, and your response was exactly what I had hoped to hear.
