The Event started last night.

Maybe they are replaying it? I just set it up on my machine and it looks like the first episode for next Saturday night.

I hope I didn’t miss the first one. Sheesh.

Last night was the pilot so would not technically be considered the first episode. That’s probably where the discrepancy lies.

We watched the Event last night. My H and D had seen the episode at Comic Con and sat in on a panel discussion with the cast. We will watch for a few weeks and see how it goes. We also liked Flash Forward last season. House was only so so for me. We did not see half of the last season.

I am looking forward to Glee tonight!

Samurai- Jennifer Gray was fun to watch, they assigned her a song she said was from DD and at one point in rehearsal she did have to leave the room and cry because the Patrick thing hit her hard.

Well, it was still recorded so I watched the last five minutes and they were better than the rest of the show, but I think this new relationship is going to hurt the show. I think a lot of men like House for the formula of him being a brilliant jerk who figures out what’s wrong with people. I don’t think a lot of guys want to watch long angsty talks about his relationship. Last night had little medical drama – the neurosurgeon plot was incredibly weak. The most interesting thing was the disappearance of Thirteen. Frankly, House may be incredible and brilliant, but he is horrible relationship material and if this was real life and she was my friend, I’d be considering an intervention.

I started watching House last night but gave up on it after he poured a menagerie of bathroom toiletries into the tub and then he and Cuddy got in.

I decided to give The Event a try. I was never into Lost or 24 ( continuing saga action shows) so didn’t know if I would like it but it did grab my attention. I’ll prob. watch again next week. Anybody else watch The Event? What did you think?

So glad Glee is back.

With regard to The Event, the reason why it reminded me of early Lost episodes was the going back and forth part. I used to be a HUGE fan the first two or three seasons, then just couldn’t keep up. I really made a commitment to watch The Event without running around between during, but I can’t say I’ll be wating for the next episode.

Interesting that the president is so often black in movies today. I remebr when that would have been like science fiction.

I really enjoyed the Castle premier. It was fun.

Modern Family didn’t tape on TIVO last night (power failure, ugh)…anybody see it? is it worth watching it online at abc.com?

^Modern Family was good last night. Not one of the best episodes, but good. I especially liked the Manny story line.

^tx…I’ll watch on the laptop…

House has to do a better job of keeping the medical mysteries going while looking at the personal lives of the characters…

the medical mystery stuff is suffering…and I think that is why most people watch the show…the medical mysteries and House…but not the romantic stuff with House…

I am glad the character House is trying to get better…but the House-Cuddy stuff…where can it really go…

It’s not necessary for the show…

I don’t rememember Perry Mason’s personal life…

Two shows are on my DVR record list-Mad Men and Memphis Beat(which I don’t think has been mentioned thus far).

TNT just ordered 10 more episodes of Memphis Beat. Yippee!!

Yes, it’s worth it. Love that show!

The Event is available on Demand via Comcast
