New York University Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

Alright, I’m bored so I took a look at another thread for more portal-astrology inspiration. Can anyway access the nyu service now website? When you look at your profile, do you have an nyu email and the location set to “New York”? A bunch of accounts were created today from what I can see on the website.

I tried this yesterday, and it worked.

Yes.

Yes and yes

I went back to the thread and supposedly a lot of people could access it. I went to check out my roles and it stated “other”. Some people have roles and some people don’t. I guess there’s nothing established :frowning: dang it.. I’m so inpatient

I dont have a Stern ID or email established, does this indicate getting rej from stern?

idk. I know in the ED thread ppl tried to send emails to their potential NYU email. I can’t-cuz mine is already activated and I use it pretty regularly

Do you remember when with respect to the ED decision date?

you don’t have an email overall? or you don’t have a stern email?

Where are you looking for inspo? Just last year’s threads?

yeah and this year (ed)

New York University Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admission - #5 by Grampasso (ED1)
New York University Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admission - #633 by coleb (ED2)

What I meant to say (but I was in class so I didn’t want to type loudly) was that my NYU email is already activated and I use it on a regular basis. So if I tried to send an email to the yournetid@nyu.edu I would get it in that email and not an error because I know the email exists.
The other thing I see is that if you go to GlobalHome you have a drop-down to change your email in settings.
Note: Law, Stern, Medical, and CIMS are the ONLY school-specific emails. You won’t have a “yournetid@tandon.nyu.edu” or “yournetid@cas.nyu.edu” email because those domains don’t exist.

I have a NYU email just not a stern specific one set up yet

Does anyone have a Stern email or ID in their ServiceLink portal? I wonder if having a box for the email and ID at all is indicative (for those who applied to stern in any capacity)

Nope, and I also just didn’t apply to Stern either, so it wouldn’t make much sense

Wait so if u got the email and location says ny you got in?

how do you see roles

I’m not assuming that bc I already am in an NYU program and once I look my name up on the GlobalHome directory I see the name of the program only, which I guess is my “public” role.

Sign into Servicenow w/your netID & password (link: https://nyu.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=%2Fnyu_ss_homepage.do)
Then, click on your name in the upper right corner of the page, and click “Profile”, then it takes you to your name/location.
I don’t remember roles, but mine were insignificant.

Is there a role that indicates acceptance? If it says New York?

Not sure. But next to my “New York City” in ServiceNow, there is a checkbox check off that reads “Active” and when I hover over it, it gives me a boolean value of ‘true’.*
*Booleans are true/false only.
It’s hard to capture the “true” since it’s got to be hovered over. But this is my first time noticing.

IDK if this just means that I’m online or something, and that I’m looking too much into it-
