Sorry guys > I just asked my friend who got into NYU last year. He said if your email does not bounce, i.e., netid@nyu.edu, that is the only indicator of whether you are IN or OUT.

I think it’s the case for everyone here that if you send an email with any sort of text in bounces back and with no text it sends. That was the case for me

Yeah, this shouldn’t make sense. Even spam filters wont’ bounce, and there’s no reason that an empty message wont’ be bounced back if the inbox doesn’t exist.

To be honest, they should just not change any backend stuff and just release / authorize the admitted portal, emails, etc. starting a day after decisions are released.
