tbh it totally makes sense > IMHO> if you are IN > email should work
My friend this whole astrology last year but this was THE INDICATOR

So it also works for the longer emails?
mine did that too, and i just sent it a one character message and it bounced back.. so 3 bounce backs, 1 sent⦠wth
For NETID I got this error: The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try double-checking the recipientās email address for typos or unnecessary spaces.
For Stern I got this error: The response was:
The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect
There should be no reason why a long email gets bounced and a short one does not. You can send an extremely long or empty email to a valid inbox, and it wouldnāt bounce.
I said āHiā and it worked, but I gave it a sentence and it bounced back.
I feel like we are reading too much into it. Decisions in less than 24 hours anyway so we will see then
Yeah that just doesnāt make sense from a logical standpoint, sending any length email to a valid email wouldnāt bounce.
actually it seems like my nyu email doesnāt like getting the word āhiā and the email drops in the void, but when i give it a long sentence, it actually sends it to my email and i see it on both ends
this one of the craziest ā ā ā ā iāve seen
Yeah again, this isnāt the case for any other type of email address, Iāve never heard of a short message just not being sent or received?
If itās not a joke this is actually worrying.
um ⦠is this a note? wth? iām scared for them
any other of my emails it goes through, nyu is just different with their email system ig, Iāll type a long sentence, it goes through, just saying āhiā, drops into the void (no bounce back no nothing)
keep in mind: a large majority of the applicants will NOT get their email activated until they make a deposit, and that was proven to me with summer high school. the backend for the applicant on-boarding pipeline is the same for general nyu admissions and summer high school, this was confirmed by me asking IT one day cuz I was bored
Thatās messed up.
Iāve just come up with the stupidest crazy idea. I have the hacked database, I can extract like 100 random net ids for this rd cycle and just mass email them with an SMTP server, and see how many get bounced. If only like 5-10 make it through, this method is reliable.
let me check
Looks like Stern email works for me but not NetID.
hahah not a bad idea
what would this thread be without you . ur ideas are always so crazy i love it
