rn everyone has Summer, closer to 15th if ur housing thingy changes to no apps, its a good sign according to past years.

lol I was able to leave a deposit for the fall housing. I guess we all can. I didn’t actually enter the payment details though.

My DD got in through ED1 and I understand the anxiety. Just a word of warning on not to chase after the “indicators.” There was so much stuff going around during ED1, it led to a lot of ups and downs in emotions. I know some schools are better at keeping an airtight lid on the portal compared to NYU, but it was nearly impossible to predict what changes correlate to admission, and it led to much (false) disappointment and (false) celebrations. I finally stopped following any of those leads. Most of it turned out to be irrelevant and not a predictor of anything. Good luck and hope all of you get in!

so you applied for aid but did not submit CSS? how do you expect to receive aid?
I have a dumb question, I maybe completely wrong. but is it a tad bit easier for a girl to get into nyu stern, than for guys. I am asking because, majority of the people applying to stern are IB guys, IB girls in comparison are less, so is it just a little easier for a girl to get into because of having gender diversity or whatever.
Unfortunately I am unable to afford to pay for CSS, lets see what happens, I trust NYU a lot. But I am expecting rejection.

my application checklist is all ticked. Ya my financial aid checklist still has a red X.
What I’m hoping is that if NYU would want to accept me, they’ll defer me, I saw their financial aid video from portal for RD CSS profile deadline is FEB 20.
But I dont really have very competitive stats, so I am expecting rejection. Hook maybe I have is I’m first gen & low income. But being delusional rn is only gonna hurt me in the long race.
