Umm I requested admissions office through email to change my admissions plan to RD for submission of CSS profile (as RD deadline is 20 Feb).
Surprisingly they did it rightaway.
they already made a decision for you tho. Why changing to submit the css if you don’t know if you got in? you could’ve called and ask to submit later (brown and uMiami allow it)
I did email them about this before if they’d allow it, they did not give any reply
And I like need a lots of aid, and need NYU to meet my full need. If they had allowed it they would had not let me change my decision from ED2 to RD i guess, cause I specifically mentioned this request is solely based for submission of CSS profile. If they had admitted me then they would had said no right? Probably I was deferred or rejected in ED2.
it doesn’t mean they rejected or deferred you. as you said you need financial aid and sent your css late, the finaid office looks at our css profile after we send it and calculates an approximate amount of money that should be given to us, once the ao tells them we are admitted they calculate the full scholarship. as you sent it past the deadline that process was probably not yet concluded. don’t worry
