New York University Early Decision for Fall 2024 Admission

Basically impossible in the US as an international student. And it’s not only for entry level IB jobs, it’s for any entry level banking job, or financial analyst job in another industry….you would need a company to sponsor you, and as @Catcherinthetoast said that’s difficult for an entry level position (because the US company has to basically say they can’t find a US citizen to fill the job).

you can earn it back, just not in the USA. Everything can happen and networking is the most important aspect of business tho.
Personally, I want to have my own LLC, but even staying in the US is not an option. Crazy taxes, no universal health care, guns, drugs, extremists, chemical food, price of life,… and it’s not 1%. I don’t know where you are from but going back to your own country to get experience is the best option (you can still try England or Spain tho).

I am from india, I cannot possibly earn back 380k here, I will take at least 10-12 years.

In a US location, assuming your status would require an H1-B very tough. For your home country I can’t answer what the requirements and opportunities look like.

Old article but you will get the idea…

This is the criteria…

Hold a U.S. bachelor’s or higher degree required by the specialty occupation from an accredited college or university . Hold a foreign degree that is the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s or higher degree required by the specialty occupation from an accredited college or university.”

The key words are “specialty occupation”. A generalist analyst would not match the criteria.

Middle Eastern countries? China? Japan? Nigeria? France? UK? Switzerland (!!!)?

I’m from India too, I dunno if this is valid, but I’ll say you should focus on educating yourself first, all earning thing, work-visa thing etc is a later worry to worry about. Hakuna Matata!

I can do the Middle East, jobs in uk are bad. not taking intl anyways

It’s so easy to find a job in Saudi, Qatar, or UAE. I already have an internship for the summer and they pay for everything

bro u and I both know, in our currency coughing up over 3cr, if I see purchasing power, is like coughing up $800k.

wait actually? I have a house in dubai, so I can definitely go there. where did u find these internships

Indeed

any changes for anyone? It seems all the same for us.

nope

anyone here who applied to tisch drama?

Steinhardt for us.

This waiting is torturous, at least in the past I had other college applications to work on

No change. I’m just going to wait until Friday or next Monday because changes usually happens around that time

It makes sense, let’s keep busy so that time flies until next week. We are in the countdown: 9

yes! it’s just hard to not check every time I have a break. Im trying to keep being busy but now I’m not stressed I’m just excited

the wait is killing me
