Us too! Oh well….

I was hoping for the Ravens and Lions so I got 0%! I’ll still watch the Super Bowl but not that excited.

So just saying… Taylor Swift is supposed to fly to the SB after her concert overseas. Her lucky number is 13. This will be the 13th game she sees Kelce play in… Forget football analytics. This is the Swift Effect. :joy::football:

It’s a 13 hour flight…

There you go… Lol

I hope KC only scores 13 points and SF scores 48.

More likely, KC wins by 13 points

So, are you taking bets with KC -13? :grinning: Because I’d take that bet. Vegas has the 49ers -1.5.

I’d say San Francisco is the slightly better team except for two positions. First, is coach. While I respect Kyle Shanahan and think he is tremendous I would put Andy Reid a step ahead in experience and winning in big games. The second position is quarterback. Purdy is an amazing story and I love watching him. However, he’s not Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has a way of stepping up in big games. I liked the Lions and had hope for them after the first half. The Chiefs aren’t the Lions. They’ve been here and their defense is better. If anyone can beat the Chiefs in the NFC it will be the 49ers but I think that Reid and Mahomes more than cancel out what can be perceived as the 49er slight talent superiority.

As the last two weeks have shown us, we can’t really count out the 49ers. Granted, Green Bay and the Lions helped them with some head-scratching plays and coaching decisions, but San Fran must now believe – if they ever didn’t – that they can overturn any reasonable deficit.

Have you noticed that a lot more teams are going for it on 4th down the past few years. I think it corresponds with two things. First, believe it or not, was an episode a few years ago of “Young Sheldon” where he explains to his coach father than statistically teams are better of going for it on fourth down than punting or attempting a field goal. The second, not ironically, is the advent of the use of statistics in decision making during the game.

I understand statistics for sure. I get that if you have the 4th down decision and go for it over the course of 100 NFC Championship games the odds say go for it, but in this case the sample size is just one. If I had that decision I would have been more conservative and kicked the FG. It might be 30 years before the Lions get back to that game.

IMO, Shanahan and Reid are both great coaches. But Reid has Mahomes and he’s clearly this generation’s Tom Brady.

Shanahan has had adequate (Jimmy G) to terrible QB’ing throughout his 49ers tenure. And you can partially blame Shanahan the part-time GM for that.

But the 49ers have the best RB in the NFL, who will likely be named offensive player of the year. And two 1,000 receivers and then Deebo.

Having said that, as a lifelong 49ers fan, my brain tells me to take KC and the 1.5 points, solely because of Mahomes.

Oh, besides Mahomes, the other advantage KC does have is special teams, because their PK’er isn’t a rookie (Jake Moody), whose been shaky lately.

BTW, KC lost Omenihu, one of their D-Lineman, to an ACL tear.

I get the hypothesis, but as the article notes, Mahomes is not like Brady (personality-wise) and Reid is not like Bellichick.

We’ll see.

At least Brady and Bellichick weren’t over exposed. :joy:

I doubt they’d have sold many products

Grab the money while you can.

ESPN/ABC has a history of finding the parents and GF of the QB and showing them plenty during college football games.

People who are enough upset to take to social media to complain are pretty crazy.

There are a lot men out there who are afraid of how powerful Swift is.
