NFL 2024-2025 season

Thread for NFL 2024-2025 season.

Starting off with the schedule, there seems to be increasing differences in rest advantage and disadvantage across teams.

commanders are surprising bengals as qb daniels is breaking rookie passing % record while bills blew out jags

Yes, quite a game last night for the Commanders.

Bengals starting 0-3 is shocking.

derrick henry was available and willing but the cowboys passed are only interested in staying profitable. he just outran the bills secondary for a 87-yd td.

And for the Browns…there is always next year…

bad karma for browns after signing that qb and his legal issues to that guaranteed contract

deshaun watson injured. looks like the same as rodgers had last season. karma

Patriots coach Mayo, after a TD cuts the lead to 9, elects to go for 2 instead of the PAT kick. They don’t get the 2pt conversion, so instead of being down 8 (one score) they are down 9 (two scores).

As a Pats fan, at almost the halfway point of the season, I don’t see in Mayo what Kraft saw. He seems overmatched already. Nobody is improving, no unit is improving.

I thought teams had a chart with all the after-TD conversions all mapped out, going for 1 vs. 2, so that they don’t have to do advanced math (lol) on the spot.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

mr inoculated, playing for johnson & johnson, loses again while deshaun cosby gets injured; karma

Wow, Washington! Unbelievable.

And the Browns WON today. Of course, they had a better quarterback! Does anyone miss Watson?

Browns are tough against the Ravens.
Ravens secondary needs help.

Mr. Inoculated went down again! The pre-season darlings of the media, the J-E-T-S, have the same record as my lowly rebuilding Patriots, halfway through the season!

In the movie The Producers, Max Bialystock is creating a massive fraud by overselling shares in a play (my favorite Mel Brooks movie, the original, not the musical). Of course it goes wrong and becomes a smash musical, and Max says “I chose the worst play, the worst actors, the worst director of all time, where did I got right?”

Woody Johnson, that estimable genius, puts together a team with a future HOF QB, a talent roster that most experts said was one of the best in the NFL, a defense that has been in the top 5 to make a run at winning now after flopping spectacularly with the QB Woody really wanted…and have spectacularly failed. I think Woody needs to look in the mirror and figure out the problem is him, the Jets for most of the 25 years he has owned them have been pretty miserable, that isn’t coincidence.

jets sb watch party

Ouch! :persevere::grin:

typical jets to lose a touchdown due to celebrating too early b4 crossing the goal line

At least they did not give up an instant touchdown the other way like in this college game.

good win for the jets. vegas knows nfl history.

every home team with a worse record than the visiting opponent, while being favored, has covered.

6-2 texans were 3+ underdogs against the 2-6 jets. the jets win easily by much more than 3 pts

Yeah then typical Jets Garret Wilson made a circus catch that outdid Odell Beckham, one handed grab at the endline leaping up and managed to stay in bounds somehow.
