No real support system on campus

Im a 27 year old non traditional student on a campus so small I am mainly the only one on campus. My friends have since graduated from their own schools and now work in their careers. Most of the friends I’ve made on campus are too young to really understand the issues I am dealing with. Too many of these kids prefer that I be their surrogate mom anyway. The only other people close to my age are teachers and staff, but they are so inexperienced with older students that they ask me for my perspective. I give it to them but they get dissapointed if I mention that things are not so great.

Is there anyone I can turn to?

This community or others like it on the internet. Join Phi Theta Kappa, go to regional meetings and, finally, connect with others.

wow i have the opposite problem ,
