If you are getting up and doing something physical that will require showerig after why shower in the morning> seriouslly…if you are getting up to put on band gear sports stuff, etc., why do you need to shower…

many people do NOT shower every morning, they shower at night, sleep and get up and go into the world lookng very presentable…wow. what a concept

I’m not doing college marching, but in high school we’d start two weeks before school started and do morning marching from 8:30-12:30, break for lunch, have a rehearsal inside from 2:00-4:00, break for dinner, and then have the final rehersal outside from 6:00-9:00.

Doing band for 9 hours a day sucked a little.

::edit::

That’s what I do normally (shower at night only)…but when I have to do something really sweaty in the morning or middle of the day and go somewhere that night, I’m going to take another shower in the middle of the day. That’s not exactly unreasonable.

can’t wait when you guys are in the real world and can’t get all fresh all the time…so why the morning shower, then an afternoon one, then…

but hey, be spoiled…don’t worry about clean water or the $$ or whateve, so long as you are fresh

i can understand SOMETIMES two showers a day, but if yu shower at night, no reason to shower in the morning…not at all…if you do it to FEEL better that is just being spoiled, sorry. but when you are paying your own water bills, maybe you can understand

and when you have lived through a drought, you really understand. It jsut irks me to seee such waste so you don’t feel a little sticky

I said I shower at night and then after something really sweaty, though! Stop making me feel bad about showering after I sweat out 5 pounds during a marching practice… :(

I don’t think that comment goes for you specifically. There have been several people in this thread who’ve said that they consistently shower twice a day regardless.

I do agree with that, though. I don’t really understand why someone would shower just to get dirty again. If you know you’re doing something that would warrant a shower afterwards, there’s really no reason to take a shower beforehand too.

it’s called spray-on shower. fast easy and safe. you don’t even have to take your clothes off. i can get you some for a discount if you want. they sell it mostly in places like north korea and ethiopia.

I shower once every two days usually lol, but If I’m traveling I shower whenever I get a chance! I’d hate to meet whoever I’m meeting all sweaty and smellning like ****. PS: I don’t travel alot so I don’t waste water.

ok, so how many days do you guys use your towels for until you need a new one or need to wash it? From previous replies, one guy had 20 towels (wt f?) and another guy used towels for only 2 days before requiring a new one.

I use my towels for at least a week, and more often longer than that, before requiring a new one. Seriously, your towel won’t get that dirty, considering it is only drying off your freshly cleaned body, and then you just dry it off-- it’s only water!

So does everyone change towels so frequently? or were those other guys the weird ones?

SKYflyer – I’m with you. I have two bath towels and I use one for about a week, then switch to the other, then wash them both (I do laundry about every 2 weeks). As long as you’re just using it to dry off after your bath, then there’s no reason to change it every day or to have more than two or three (unless you neeeever do laundry).

^i have this thing about towel. i like to change them like every three days. maybe every 4 or 5 possibly, if all my other ones are dirty. but a week is too much.

you aren’t only washing away water, you’re drying of your dead skin cells and sh.iit and it’s all moist and probably absorbs crap in the air. ew. haha. i just like clean towels.

Yeah and also, it kinda seems like there is the possibility of mold formation if you coninuously let the same towel dry off day after day that is covered in dead skin cells and whatever else you rub off your body. I can just imagine a a gross wet towel hanging there all day in a dorm…the bastion of germ and disease!
