Nominations

Cougar … heck, you’re allowed to brag! You’d be shirking your patenal duties were you do fail to applaude your dd’s wonderful accomplishments and nominations! I can tell you, all of us from Penns Woods are envious having opportunity for multiple noms. I’ve not heard of any here, as Congresspersons check with the Senators to avoid multiples, at least on that front. They will duplicate the Presidential noms …

Again hearty congrats and brag all you can! ;)

Cougar! YAY! Its a safe bet now that you can relax over dd getting a nomination. LOL Three has to be a charm. Lets hurry up & wait now. agony scream

Good luck to all who are waiting on noms. Hope they come in soon!! Post 'em if you’ve got 'em!

just got a nod from my representative for USNA. I told my interviewers that I had a pres. nom so I thought I wouldn’t get a new one (im in MD, lots of candidates), but I got it! YEA!

Can any one tell me with 53 congressional districts in California why the senators only get about 200 applications for a USNA nomination? (At least that’s what her office told me.)

I can’t tell you all of the reasons, but for those who have already received a pres. nom., they tell you not to bother, since they want to give others a chance. California has a lot of military/retired military and have many eligible kids.

The offices of the senators are VERY unfriendly when approached about applications/nominations.

We have had some of those ‘unfriendly’ conversations. It’s disappointing.

Thanks Whistle Pig and Jamzmom,

WP, I’m assuming that by “Penns Woods” you mean Pennsylvania? If it’s not too personal, where are you from? We lived in Philadelphia for 6 years and my daughter was born there.

They probably don’t get many applications because a lot of the candidates view their odds of receiving a Senatorial nomination in CA as being slim to none, so why waste the time and energy to apply. The same goes for a Vice Presidential nomination.

GreatAmerican-

Their phone manners are lacking, very discouraging, unlike the congressional counterparts. They are quite unfriendly to deal with.

Letter Recieved yesterday - Nomination from John Campbell, CA 48th

Hoooray!

Congrats Potential Plebe! Grand news!!

Are you positioned to compete for appointment?

All the best & good luck!

Any CA Senatorial nominations received yet?

did both senators have interviews already? I got an interview from one but not the other - yet. Hope to hear soon, but maybe not till end of month, they told me.

Recieved Nomination today from Tom Davis - VA 11th.

Gotta love Wednesdays, recieved my scholastically qualified last weds, now this, only one thing left!

We got the congratulatory call from our congressman - CA 42nd. Yipee! Now another long wait til spring.

Congrats to RK & socal! :)

My d just received her nom from Rep. Peter King- 3rd Congressional- NY

Let the journey continue.

Congrats to dd of Marine 0311 …

Man, more competitors. . .

lol! ;)

socal: I don’t know when CA senators will start sending out nominations. I’ve heard (from somewhere… i have no idea where) that CA senators send things out late. I’ve had a phone interview with Senator Feinstein’s panel. No word from Senator Boxer. Though I already have a MOC nomination. District 6, Congresswoman Woolsey. =)
