I will be happy to. There are a few places I’m considering in Japan right now and I’d love to hear about what Euro universities you’d think will fit my criteria.
Would you be able to take your A2 or ALevels in November?
What have you done in the past couple years -worked, volunteered, been hospitalized…? This will matter to universities.
A2 Levels must be taken within 13 months of AS Level, so if I settled for the normal route again I would have to do both years.
I main taught during my time off, stated as the tutoring extracurricular.
Can you take the “new” ALevels in your subjects? You don’t need the AS-A2 combination. And if you’re only missing 2 months you should find the review and preparation relatively easy.
Your budget will be a major constraint.
How long have you lived in Saudi Arabia and are you a permanent resident there? What about your “hone country”, have you ever lived there and is there any reputable university you could get into?
Is there any accredited university you can attend ?
Yes, there are a few great university options nearby such as KFUPM and IAU. I’ve saved them as a last resort.
What makes AQA A-levels different from regular Cambridge A-levels? How come I would find the preparation easier?
AQA isn’t the key thing, Cambridge, OCR, ALL are okay, but you need the AS-A2 system where you’d only take the A2 exams you already have the AS for&you’d already prepared OR the “new” ALevels which cover the whole subject. Anyway the point is that ALevel results (preferably 3A/A*s) would make a HUGE difference compared to the GED.
So the “new” A-levels have a new, smaller syllabus that isn’t just the two years’ content combined?
No, they’re like the AS+A2 and the content may be a bit different.
Find your AS spécifications website and review the “new” curriculum. In some cases (maths) it’s likely to be the same. In others (History) it’s likely to be entirely different…
