Non-U.S. schools similar to Jacobs University Bremen? Any recommendation?

<p>As one of those international student asking for a lot of money (around 30K) and decent scores and ECs, schools like JUB really open up doors for us. Are there any suggestions as to international schools (Euro, especially) similar to JUB? (I searched on CUUS but there wasn’t so much about this)</p>

<p>Criteria:

  1. Strong/top-notch STEM programs (it’ll be great if they can prepare me well for U.S. grad school–I love U.S. and I shall return!)
  2. Courses taught in English; (a must; I only know Mandarin and English…)
  3. Common App school if possible;
  4. Affordable tuition and fees!!! (by affordable I mean around 25K/year, either due to school’s low international tuition or generous FA/scholarships)</p>

<p>Thanks so much!!!</p>

<p>I’ll start with Sciences Po in Paris, but it seems to be only concerned in social sciences…</p>

<p>The University of Bristol has great STEM programs, but the Science fees are about 30K/year for internationals.
The University of Aberdeen, about 25K/year for internationals, and is really strong in STEM programs.
The University of Birmingham, about 27K/year and has scholarships for internationals. Great STEM.
All of them accept the Common App, though you’re really limiting yourself with this being in your criteria. Out of all the international Common App schools, these are the only ones available to you, since the others are either more expensive, or not strong in the sciences.
By the way, the costs are solely the tuition fees, UK universities don’t include living costs in their cost of attendance.</p>

<p>Thanks a lot for these wonderful info!!!</p>

<p>Check out American University in Bulgaria :)</p>

<p>There’s a lot of state universities in mainland Europe with much cheaper fees for international students than in the UK.</p>

<p>[Find</a> Bachelor programmes in Europe - BachelorsPortal.eu](<a href=“http://www.bachelorsportal.eu/]Find”>http://www.bachelorsportal.eu/) is quite comprehensive and you can search by language and cost</p>

<p>Groningen in the Netherlands is 93rd in the World- $12,000 a year tuition
Utrecht is 81st- $11,000 tuition</p>

<p>I also applied to Franklin in Switzerland, Hult in London, American Uni of Paris along with Jacobs - but Jacobs was the right decision for me, definitely.</p>
